I noticed that since the 'Faint' video, LP has been dressing with this dirty street clothes. It was really good for the Faint video, but it seems to me that they've become obsessed with this look, and it's becoming really repeatative. What do you think?
i dont really care what they wear, as long is its not all black, and really tight leather, with open chest, so we can see chest hair, and little gril scout hats, and handel bar mustaches to boot. if they dont turn into the village people, i will be fine and really dont care
I never knew a jacket and jeans was "street". . Mike wears those finger gloves but I think that's a cool fashion statement. Overall, it's just sweaters/hoodies and jeans so I don't really consider that street. It's not like they have to wear school uniforms or something.
Thats just them wearing the kind of clothes they like. I dress the same way, hoodie, jeans or khaki cargos, beanie hat, chain wallet. Never knew it was such a big deal.
I think the look is pretty awesome, and I'm getting some clothes for Christmas that mock the look. I think it sets LP's style apart from all the other bands, just like their music does.
i've always loved the way LP dressed... street or not street(though i dont call the way they're dressing now street)
It doesn't matter what they wear. It's the music that I am interested in. But what they are wearing is good anyways.
Don't get me wrong, I dress in cargos and hoodies and whatnot, but the things I'm talking about are the coats with all the patches on it. I like it when they change the style more. I'm not knocking their style in the least, it just seems like the last 3 videos have looked pretty much the same because of the style. It just seems like the video concepts are very original and fresh, but the clothes they are wearing are the same.
I've always really liked how LP dresses. It's part of their style. Laid back and not stiff looking. They've never (as far as I have seen) really ever dressed up and mostly have worn tee shirts with logos, cargo pants, sometimes the occasional checkered buttoned up to the tip top shirt or two for Chester with jeans. They look comfortable and as long as none of them come on stage wearing pink tutu's and rhinestone tiaras carrying magic wands I think they dress great.
They're not Nsync who have a complete wardrobe change and designer clothes everytime for a video. They wear what they want.
As long as it's what Linkin Park wants to wear and what the members are comfortable with, who's to say that they're taking their "street look" too far?
I like their style. It's different, you don't see many people dressing like them. And at least they're not advertising like they were before with all the DC shoes stuff. I mean, I know those company's probably either support them or they get the clothes for free, but when you see the whole band wearing various DC or Drunkn Munky shirts, it's like.. don't they have any other clothes? It's like Simple Plan with their Role Model clothing. I saw David wear a Made hoodie and was like "WOW HE HAS OTHER CLOTHES!" But really, when it comes down to it, it's just clothes. If they wore the same thing all the time, it wouldn't matter to me. Unless they didn't wash, ew.
I think I worded this wrong. What I meant to say is that they should have changed the style just a little bit for each video because its like they're in the same 'story'. Like the videos are part of one story. Just seemed a little weird to me.
