I don't think you can really say what type of genre they are. They're making their own genre, but some of the things that they do fuse together are nu-metal, rock, hip hop, little tiny bit of emo and a little techno - pretty much anything else they want.

They are more of a nu-metal band. Go to www.launch.com and search for Linkin Park. Once you get there, it will give you a link to look at the bio of the band. You will find the answer that you need in there.

I try not to focus on the genre. All I need to know is that I like it. I wish people, especially critics, didn't feel the need to slap a label on everything, but like it's been said before, it's human nature.

It's an hybrid theory (this name fits the style so much :D ) .

Nothing sounds like LP. Some get close to, but no-one sounds as.

But as, I think, Chester said, HT defined the music. Now the music defines LP.

It is really hard to put them in a genre because they take elements from diffrent stlyes of musics like Rap, Rock, Metal, and Electronica.

(insert n00b here) Ohhhhh!!!!! I get the name Hybird Theory now!

    I usally call them a Rap/Rock/Nu-Metal/Electronica genre. O_O
