A friend complained that most of my songs-poetry are depressing and sad. She wanted me to write something more happy. I dont know if I did that but I tried. Here is the outcome. Please comment me as this took me a while to write. Loves Not Dead I walk in the forest And find a heart carved in a tree Through it pokes an arrow And words proclaiming that love is dead Suddenly I am at a loss And overcome with doubt For my heart has just been broken And I can feel for the carver But love is not dead I know this as much as I know myself For it flows through my very veins And the hope of finding love a new Is the very reason that I live Deeper in the forest I find the scattered remains of a love note Shreded to peices by a little stream And I watch as the water carries them away I make a silent prayer That whom ever's broken heart Will learn to love again Sitting on a log crying There is a girl as beauitful as a dream I walk up to her And tell her that love always comes again But love is not dead I know this as much as I know myself For it flows through my very veins And the hope of finding love a new Is the very reason that I live These things I tell her And she tries to smile I'll remember later on That this is how our love began
Surprisingly I like it, surprising because i don't usually like songs that take on this sort of subject. I'm sure your friend 'll love it.
