Lost In The Echo VS In The End

I voted for in the end because it is more emonotial.It's my favourite track by LP.
Lost in the echo it's more aggressive and it's my second favourite

I grew up listening to In The End so it'll always be a favourite of mine.

I have a feeling 'Lost in the Echo' is going to come out on top because it's new. It's a good song, but 'In the End' has stood the test of time for me and will have my vote.

 

The voting results so far are absurd. We're talking about In The End...LITE isn't even close, no matter how good it is.

 

In the End for sure. LITE is a very very good song though and is one of Linkin Park's top 10 songs ever, in my opinion.

 

I love Lost In The Echo, but I still find In The End to be the superior song.

 

I think it's too early too say, but I vote in the end. Lost in the echo is amazing but its been 12 years and im still in love with in the end.

 

Haha, this isn't a very fair poll just because of the nostalgia factor. LITE is great but ITE is a classic. I was jamming to that song 12 years ago in high school and STILL listen to it fairly regularly. I like other songs LP has made more than ITE over the years where they pushed themselves in different directions (Blackout, The Catalyst, RUD, etc.) but considering that structurally and stylistically ITE and LITE are very similar there's no way I can't go with the classic.

 

How's In The End better, seriously? The lyrics give me cringes, despite how catchy it is.

Lost in the echo ftw. Great lyrics, great instrumentation. Original, experimental while embracing all of LP's sound.

LITE is really good, but i don't think it has the power to beat in the end. Very close though, LITE is right under in the end on my top songs by LP list.

I think everyone in this thread needs to take off the nostalgia goggles for a minute. Take out the classic piano riff and the "OMG they're singing about me!!!" feeling, and there's not much redeeming left for In The End IMO.

Lost In The Echo by far.

 

Good thing there's more to songs than just lyrics. In The End...is just the ish. Love the soaring vocals, love the effects on Mike's vocal. Super catchy and it encapsulates with LP was trying to do back then. LITE is alright.

 

In The End. It had my heart 12 years ago, and still has it now. LITE is a great song, but it still needs to prove itself over the test of time. We've only known it for 2 days. Come back in about 12 months or so, and see if it is still great and not annoying.

In The End's power is huge. Most people have played the shit out of it over the years and still love it to death. If LITE can do that, then it deserves the credit.
