This video is gonna be great, I can feel it. The scenery and the vibe they've set up is in complete contrast to the feel of the song, and that's what makes it work. For me at least.
Right. I don't know; the video's sets look pretty large in scale and there's a serene beauty to them (largely because of the colour correction in the photo) that, to me, matches how the song contrasts pretty-sounding synths with distorted guitar and aggressive vocals and just the big sound it has overall
Agreed. I was always surprised when I saw the initial set pictures of the actress in that broken down color Detroit setting. It felt totally dislodged from the uptempo song. It was so intriguing that I instantly became interested in the video. It makes me wish the song was like 15 mins long so they can make this video truly interactive. Can't do too much with a 3 minute song.
It's been quite sometime since LP had a major track within the top 20 in US and UK. The last track being New divide which debuted at No 6. And from the last 2 albums, The catalyst reached 27, WFTE was in the 40's and iridescent was in the 80s. From the new album, BID reached 30. LITE is kinda hyped to be the next "popular" song from LP. You can't deny that who ever has heard LP, before and now, like this song. It definitely has one the best intro to any LP song. This song could pretty much hit the top 20 or maybe even top 15 or 10 for that matter.
I SO hope, I know it doesn't really matter, but it would still be cool to have everyone talking about Linkin Park again.
Exactly. It's not a bad thing that LP has become experimental and that they pushed past the commercial aspects. However, its not a bad thing either to want to see them top the charts and have people talk about them like how it was years ago. BID did get them back up a little bit. I mean their performance for the Billboard awards was the most watched this year from the show and was ranked the 3rd best performance. LITE could certainly get people talking about them again. It's sad to see bands like Maroon 5 release crappy songs, which were made just for pure commercial gains, and still reach top 10. As a band, they lost their identity. The best part of LITE is that it's a pure mix of the old and the new experimental LP.
I was wondering how will they fit so many locations, characters, alternate endings and add a plot in general to a 3 minute song... Also, if it isn't as complicated as BID and it's special effects, why did it take 2 months to make? And Jeff, I thought they might make an intro in the video...
I think that the video that plays behind the band when they play live looks awesome. In any sense, I'm sure I'm going to love this video too...
Wow! New Countdown, More screenshots and the face of (I guess it'll be) the main dude in the video!! Can't wait!!!
