You must be proud of yourself. Not that anyone actually cares. As for the actual topic on hand, let's summarize. The video gave a fresh perspective on the song, indicating about letting go of our departed loved ones and moving on with your life (at least I read it that way). Also, it was pointless that they used Facebook tagged pictures and not profile ones, although it was a neat little trick. Their worst video thus far? Yes. Complete and utter waste of a beautiful set? Most certainly. But oh well.
Yeah, I'm getting the Flash message too. Cool concept for the video, I'm kind of glad the band members are not in it and that it was directed by someone other than Joe Hahn. It makes a refreshing change, imo. Also, the CoG vid will have the band members so quit complaining.
Now you're sounding like all those dumb "new LP sucks NUMETTALZFOREVER" guys. Music videos are not as simple as that. When the video just shows band members playing (e.g. Burn it Down), it's mostly always unoriginal and boring. You know what makes music videos great? A concept. Some idea, that lies beneath. It can be a story. It may be some original visual style. It can be something else entirely. But it's usually connected to the song, explains, deepens it's meaning. Point is: the presence of band members in a video doesn't make it better or worse.
The video sucks. They could have done much more with such an awesome song.At least the band had to be in there.
At this moment, I have absolutely no idea what to think about the video. I still have to figure out the story. The imagery is definitely cool, but all in all the video is a bit slow for the song. I'd expected more action, so I might be a bit gobsmacked right now XD. The interactive idea is so much fun. I bet they expected that there might be some weird scenes with senseless pics in it, but so what? It is something different that engages the fans and gives us a whole new experience with a music video. So, I'm all for it! The fun thing is that I've started a fan art contest a few days ago, asking readers of my blog to take screencaps of the video and crop pictures of themselves into that. Dude, my face when I realized that this was actually the concept of the video! My contest is absolutely redundant now! Linkin Park ninja'd me really bad! XD
my thoughts about this video: nice for people who've never experienced interactive videos before but if this is gonna be the official video too (is there gonna be an official?) then the only nice thing will be the instagram filtered-ish backgrounds. (which is good for the masses to like the video too)
See any of my millions of responses in threads about it, as I've been asked to not bring this thread further into the shithole that certain users have created.
Hah, I think the location was really cool but this time, instead of focusing on the video special effects, they focused on meaning. Well at least for me, this video changed the whole meaning of the song! I really think it was incredible. Probably not the BEST Linkin Park video, but still amazing!
Are you actually the guy that's breaking apart on the cover of LIVING THINGS? No? But...your display picture is the guy from LIVING THINGS cover...so...
alright the video was fun but as a video didn't make much sense to me well this is one of those pics which made me laugh and the rest cry and disintegrate to dust LMAO
Well the video ain't loading for me. Dunno why. Meteora had zero effort by the band compared to the other albums IMO. It didn't move the band forward. They were stagnant in one place(nu metal). It's also the reason why people purely believed LP is JUST nu metal. Haha. Yes. Yes he is.
