This, this, and this. Some old lady crying over me and my friends having a great time at an amusement park does nothing but confuse me. If Joe Hahn directed this music video I think it's time for him to give it a rest. Let somebody else get a chance to direct LP music videos for once.
The expressions on each actor's face were so captivating to me. I love this video, I can't wait for the non-interactive version. And, that one actress is gorgeous, is she not?!?! I was like, "Woah".
Finally allowed myself to watch it after getting all my work done, pretty harsh on myself given it was my birthday lol. Now about the video it was actually pretty cool but it would've been better had the band appeared it imo. Then the ending with the people crying and turning to dust was creepy as fuck haha. Edit: For those still having problems, like the page from Facebook itself and/or try Chrome
OMG! I don't get it... Why people can't stop complaining about the video?! IMO - The best Linkin Park video in a while! Sometimes I think people just refuse to use their brains and just ''see'' the video, not watch it. Very emotional and touching video with great screenplay and production! We needed something fresh...
I really didn't want Joe to direct for some time. But this video kinda actually make me miss his videos.
I agree with you. This video is different from their ATS's videos. It's good to make a change in the music videos for the new album, they must be different
It's TOO emotional, to the point of being really narmy. I think now that I'm glad the video puts up unintentionally funny photos otherwise the overacting gets real awkward. People have different opinions than you, that is a fact of life that can't be debated over. +100 for the concept but its got really weak execution.
I finally managed to watch the video last night, and I gotta say it's a big dissapointment for me and I loved the BITS vid. I thought it was gonna be some epic video which featured the band and a few actors, a bit like numb but not... shit. I mean, I understand what LP are trying to do but it just sort of fell apart, even if you did use Facebook (I used a friends.) It just didn't work, and to put it nicely was a load of fucking shite to what I thought it would be. Oh and yes, the set was amazing and all the promos and stuff looked epic. I just felt the video didn't have enough story or substance. LP needs to sort out their videos.
For me, one of the images the the video picked was an this image macro - so good I gotta say that I'm a tiny bit disappointed that the band or director chose not to include any performance footage. I mean, the sets are really beautiful and the song's nice and energetic ... but, on the whole, I'm happy with the video. I really preferred the non-interactive version, though, which got played the first time I watched because I did it wrong
Each character will probably have a photo of their (dead) partner. Example- I think the creepy old woman will have a memorable picture of the creepy old man or maybe a picture of them together. Otherwise it makes no sense for the character to stare at a random photo and start crying.
