This could be the first good movie based on a videogame.

Correction: third good movie based on a videogame. Behind the two Resident Evils.

 I knew someone was going to say that. I was even going to point that out. I enjoy those movies but I don't think they are that good.

He's an executive producer, not the director. Ridley Scott is directing if I remember right.

Actually I don't think they picked a director yet. Ridley could be just someone they are thinking about.

At least it's not going to be Uwe Boll

It's very doubtful Ridley Scott would want to do a project like this, it really goes against what he's been up to for the last decade or so.

Oh my God. Ridley Scott is one of my favorite directors.

The Gladiator, Blade Runner, Black Hawk Down, and Alien are some of my favorite movies of all time. I'm actually optimistic about this movie now...

Okay, gotta step in for a sec to respond to a comment...

None of the Tomb Raider movies were 100% fantastic. Yes they were fun to watch, but if you're an actual fan you'd see it had no match to the storyline of the games.

    Okay now..on topic.

This actually makes me want to see the movie now. Peter Jackson is amazing.
