[thumb]http://www.lpassociation.com/articleimages/060612-151623_lp-lt-release-day-challenge.jpg[/thumb] Mike Shinoda has updated his blog challenging fans of the band to hold off from listening to the inevitable 'leak' of Linkin Parks latest studio album LIVING THINGS. When the album leaks, ignore it. Mike goes on to say: We want LIVING THINGS release day to be as special for you as it will be for us. Challenge yourself to hold out, and we’ll all share in the excitement together. Mike and the rest of the band will be celebrating their efforts on June 26 (American release date) and they invite you to document the steps you go through on that day when you purchase the album. They would like to see your photos and you can do this by tweeting your images directly to the band. Their favourites will be retweeted! Tweet your photos to us @linkinpark with the hashtag #LIVINGTHINGSRELEASEDAY Source: MS.com
I love you Mike, but because I love your music so much I cannot wait. I hope you understand. We will be buying the album, but we can also document the day we buy it too, I would love to do that for you guys.
I've already paid my $20 dollars, the physical album will be on my doorstep on June 26th. As long as the leak is in decent quality, I'm downloading it and inviting a few friends over to have a listen with me for the first time.
I dunno after a thousand trucks i mean *cough suns i want to hear what LT will sound like, i better not have wasted 25 bucks and be Disappointed yet again.
A thousand Suns is to me a very special experience, and i would rather want to listen to an album like that alone, with high quality headphones on. But from what we have heard about this album, i guess it could be pretty fun to gather a couple of friends and blast it off on my sound system, and i will probaly do that when i get my fingers on the CD, meanwhile..... I probaly can't resist the leak.
Hmm seems doable lol. If it was someone else other than Mike, or someone else from the band, I would still listen to the leak. Quick question. When it comes out, should I listen to it sober first? Or completely blown out of my mind first?
It will depend on when it will leak. If the album leaks like two or three days before the release, I will probably wait. Anyway, I will try as hard as I can to wait until I get the CD on the 22nd June. Besides, This is certainly the best way to listen to it. We are only two weeks away from the release in Ireland, so, it should not be that hard to wait. Therefore, challenge accepted.
