My brother's stumped as to why he can't receive or send any messages from his account on Windows Live Messenger. He keeps getting "The following message could not be delivered..." messages. Does anyone know the cause of this, or a possible solution? It's WLM v.8.0. Oh, the joys of having my own laptop and not having to deal with these problems.
Yay for server problems. It happens a lot, sadly. If you could, you can help out the Messenger team by joining the "Customer Experience Improvement Program". Yeah, it does sound like some kind of privacy issue thing, but it really does help them out to find which servers are having problems fast. In the past there hasn't been that many people that have opted into the program, so it's been hard to pin down the problems fast enough, since they couldn't notice them. If there's more people that opt in, they'll notice faster. Options > General > Allow Microsoft blah blah blah... This goes for everyone. And this isn't bullshit either so they can steal your name, address, passwords, contacts, blah blah blah. Honestly, you're helping everyone including yourself. Here's a blog post from the Messenger team explaining it, if I haven't said it well enough. disclaimer: yes, I am a Windows Live Butterfly, but I'm not being paid to tell you this. Just trying to make WLM a better product. ;] ...goddamn do I ever sound cheesy.
i had the same problem as well as all my friends on the same day for about an hr..then it was normal again
