No screaming? Really? Er. This is a very weird moment for LP imo. Cool track, but.... Talking about "people wanting them to be" something? Again? "I'm not a robot, I'm not a monkey" anyone? And I couldn't even make out Rakim's lyrics in his verse... Erm. Idk. Weird feels man.
Not sure how I feel about the lyrics, Rakim's presence in the song, or Chester's delivery om his lyrics yet... BUT HOLY CRAP THE MUSIC.
Ya know, I agree with you. Everybody else is praising this song to no end, but I was a bit underwhelmed with the vocals. Maybe the were going for the raw sound, but Chester's voice sounds thin. I've only listened once. Also a little disappointed about there not being a verse from Mike. That being said, the music is damn impressive. The outro guitar solo was a sweet surprise, as well as the punk rock lead guitar vibe in the chorus.
Yeah, i'm not "THIS" amazed with vocals. But i'm stoked to throw this song at my friends face and scream "THIS IS LINKIN PARK, YOU FUCKERS"
INTERESTING NOT SURE HOW I FEEL YET ALL I KNOW IS THAT I DONT LIKE FKING COLABORATIONS THAT RAKIM PART DESTROYS THE SONG SORRY TO RUIN THE PARTY DEFINETLY NOT MAINSTREAM
Indeed the lyrics feel rather Meteora and it definitely could have used a patented Chester scream or two, but EVERYTHING ELSE is just mind-blowing.
Oh damn, this song is so good! Very different but everything works, best LP song i've heard in years. So nasty
It's a step in the right direct that's for sure, but I can't help but feel like it sounds cheesy. Just Chester's part, the rap verse is sick, but I'm not really digging Chester's part. Maybe it's the lyrics that make it sound cheesy. Even with this said, I'm definitely really curious now what the rest of the album will be like. At least there's no more electronic crap.
Because screaming equals more intense and heavy. The guitars on this song cross the rock boundary into near metal territory.
