Linkin Park recently did some shooting on location a few days ago for an upcoming music video in their home city, as revealed by LA-based photographer Melissa Fox via a caption under an Instagram shot of the band that she posted: Further corroborating this is an account recorded in a blog by LA-based BMX'er Alfredo Mancuso, who says he was wandering on the 4th Street Bridge (which overlooks the Los Angeles River), piloting an aerial drone with a camera, when he encountered none other than Linkin Park in the midst of their shoot. Mancuso says also that the band then requested footage shot using his drone for use in their project. The segment in his vlog entry where he tells this story starts at approximately 9:40: It would be safe to assume that this is a video shoot for a song off the band's upcoming seventh studio album. Yeaaaaahh come on get the hype train going!! Can't wait for this. What's the average post-production timeframe for a music video? It's generally 2-days shooting, but how much for the editing? 2-3 weeks? Can we expect a single release in less than a month? Crossing fingers!
I'd say in February shit is going to pick up tremendously. That's my guess. It only takes 2-3 weeks at most to edit a video to my knowledge.
Well I'm inclined to agree with Derek, we will probably see the MV sometime in February, which would make me believe the new album is aiming for April sometime.
Now I'm beginning to feel that maybe the single will be released in February with an April or early May release.
It's finally time! Hope we hear something before February, but after waiting all this time another month is nothing!
The director didn't come over. That's Lorenzo Errico's card. Digital Marketing Manager at Machine Shop.
Stems for "The Catalyst" were released in mid-July 2010, then the song dropped at the beginning of August, but the video wasn't released until the end of August.
Oh, I guess I remembered the Medal of Honor video being the first time hearing the song. My bad. Now, after all this waiting and slow building hype, I have expectations for this shit. Don't let me down, LP.
