Members of Linkin Park made an appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, with the band being in the running for quite a few trophies. Mike Shinoda, Emily Armstrong, Joe Hahn and Colin Brittain spoke to iHeartRadio / KIIS-FM host EJ on the event's red carpet about Linkin Park's new single "Up From The Bottom" (coming March 27), mentioning plans to perform the song live during upcoming tour dates. EJ then announced there and then that Linkin Park would taking home the award for Rock Album of the Year, thanks to the band's most recent studio effort From Zero, and handed them the trophies right there and then, as the category would not be included in the awards ceremony itself. Other publications also got their chance to interview the members of Linkin Park, among them Billboard's Tetris Kelly, who got to speak to them after they were handed their win. During this brief interview, Hahn and Shinoda further teased details about "Up From The Bottom", calling it "the best song [Linkin Park has] ever made", as well as hyping up a "mind-bending" music video that the band filmed for the single.
