Mike singing is always a good sign. Mike singing on what could be their catchiest record is a very good sign.
What's with people not listening? If the band is putting it out there as an official release, then listen. I can understand leaks, as I won't go digging for that, but official releases are different. Anything can happen.
I get it, it's for people who want to experience the entirety of the album front to back without having been spoiled previously. I don't care enough to do it for this album but I guess some people do. I'd possibly do it if the band stated that they were doing another concept album but I think it's safe to say this album can be listened to in parts without losing much... I'm pretty excited for this track, I'll be at work during the debut so I guess it'll be a nice reward after myself shift
Hearing Mike rapping or singing is automatically fresher than hearing Chester belt another powerful catchy chorus.
This is definitely one of the ones I'm most hyped for, but I think I'll try to leave it until the full album drops.
I'm getting the feeling this album will have very short replay value, so meh I might as well listen to Invisible asap.
I would hold off.. If you wait a few days album may reach the webz. The last two albums, had their 3rd or 4th "release single", and right around that time almost always the album would leak or stream in some way shape or form. I've been playing Heavy more than the other 2 tracks, that song has more replay value for me.
Tbh, none of these songs have any staying power for me. This seems like the blandest elements of Living Things put into one album. But luckily theres still 6 tracks left.
That really depends on taste though. I dislike LT but it has the most number of plays from me and for me has surprisingly a lot of replay value. I don't know, maybe it's the pop element of it all.
Lost In The Echo is the only LT track that gets continous replay from me. Burn It Down is still the worst first single they've put out imo.
I don't think I can handle anymore straight forward ''What I've Done'' style Chester only songs ever again. At least Heavy had two vocalists to mix it up. Battle Symphony though, it sounds ok but it's so so boring. All 4 songs are better than BID at least.
W what I'm missing are the duo from Mike and Chester. Linkin Park are at their best when it's Mike and Chester on one track imo
I think Talking to myself will be one of the better songs on the album even tho it sounds really poppy and prob the only song i'll like. This album will be get very boring very fast and it will be forgotten very quickly. As much as i loved THP and the guitars and drums, i only listen to KTTK, ALITS, GATS, Rebellon, and wastelands. I never listen to any of the songs on LT except LITE, RU, and sometimes in my remains. I dont listen to ATS period and same with MTM. Everything From M2M and on just leaves no long affect on me.
When they harmonize like in Castle of Glass. They need to take advantage of having 6 members, songs like Battle Symphony sound like a 3 man group.
Wow, you are completely right. That's what I have been missing with these new tracks - them using the vocal dynamics in interesting ways. Iridescent and Burning In The skies may be pretty straight forward songs, but I just LOVE how they mix it up by letting Mike handle the somber verses and Chester sing the more desperate or up lifting choruses. The same could be said for moments on Rebellion, Castle Of Glass, Roads Untraveled, the bridge on In My Remains, etc. Man, I hope we get more of that on this album. Battle Symphony would honestly have been better (or more interesting) if Mike had sung the verses or had some parts where he sang harmonics.
And? poppy doesn't make anything bad lmao. and when we start talking about replay value, I can't even stand the first 10 second of any HT/M song because they're basically the same boring song. eveytime when I listen to any ATS it feels like when you hear a brand new song becasue of how completely different they're from each other.
