Hot off the heels of crushing the very first sold-out show of the current "From Zero" world tour, Linkin Park have been announced as a musical guest on an upcoming episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon". The program airs four nights per week on NBC at 11:35 eastern / 10:35 central time. Per the schedule on NBC's website, Linkin Park will be appearing on the show next week, on Tuesday, September 17, right in the midst of their massively-successful short-notice tour dates - their show at Barclays Center in New York is on the 16th. This will be Linkin Park's first television appearance since officially re-emerging from hiatus last week. It is almost certain that the band will perform the new single "The Emptiness Machine", which is currently still rocketing its way up charts worldwide and becoming a highlight in live sets. In addition, Linkin Park band member Mike Shinoda will be also be double-dipping and appearing as an interview guest on the talk show for the first time. Whether or not he will end up doing a crowd-pleasing rap performance with Fallon, or maybe be involved in some other comedy segment, remains to be seen. Other guests appearing on the program along with Shinoda are film actors Colin Farrell and Lily Collins. This is Linkin Park's first time being on "The Tonight Show", but Shinoda's second: he did a performance on the program back in 2018 to promote his solo album "Post Traumatic". Source: NBC.com
Interesting. I don't think anyone in the band was ever an actual guest in talk shows before. They've always just performed songs and do some extra stuff, like the game thing they did on James Corden show in 2017 which was awesome.
There’s a lot more to talk about now though, which would warrant their space ‘on the sofa,’ I’d assume.
I get The Tonight Show probably has the best viewership, but man I hate Fallon as an interviewer. I would've much preferred someone like Colbert.
I wouldn't expect to hear anything new than what we got out of the Zane Lowe interview. Mike is real good at once you've heard him do one interview you've heard them all.
i cant see who posted this but I do agree with that partially. I dont see many thing from fallon but i do prefer others. Either way, i hope its gonna be cool anyway! I doubt we will hear things that we dont know already tho
Like someone else said, I genuinely don't think we are going to get anything more than what we already heard from the Zane Lowe interview outside of some fun tidbits.
Hell yes a clean video performance of Emptiness Machine dayum! And yeah, unless Mike just takes part in a game, he will only say things he mentioned in the previous interviews. This type of appearances are for casuals, we already know what will be in it. Not long to go:
Leopard print era EDIT: I'm surprised they actually let Alex be in this photo instead of getting Delson
