did you see this ----> ^^ it means : dont take this comment so fucking serious. Opinion are NEVER wrong. Dont be pissed off pls
Hopefully the times where Chester goes off stage is for him to rest his voice and recoup for a minute. Hopefully it helps preserve his voice.
I also know what heavy is you don't have to be defensive about it. And lyrics well, opinions. If you were a native english speaker you'd probably say Linkin Park is stupid as well, as their lyrics aren't exactly the most elaborate.
Technically, that is incorrect. Opinions can be wrong in the scenario where ones opinion is built upon false information. For example: If Z were to believe that X did C to Y and thinks that X is a horrible person for doing C to Y whilst in truth Y in fact did C to X. Then Z's opinion is based on nonfactual information, meaning Z's opinion is invalid due to ignorance (not using this as a derogatory term,) of the situation. Ergo his opinion is not correct and in the most simple terms incorrect.
Derek, I have one concern over this album, and that's creativity. I have a fear that because LP are so focused on bringing a harder rock record with some edge, it'll limit their creativity. Did you sense a lack of creativity based on the six song sampler, or were the songs filled with unique and interesting ideas? After hearing about what they are trying to do with this album, it has kind of brought my hype and expectations down for this album compared to other releases.
I think that any kind of self-constraint will limit creativity; those limitations might help someone to focus their creativity.
I originally asked this in the Sublime thread but you directed me to ask it here, so here it is: Derek, did you find the 6-track sampler mind-blowing , compared to their previous albums? I ask this because I realize that this is almost an entirely new direction for LP, even if it shares some similarities with their earlier albums. Although I was never generally a fan of punk rock, I am definitely liking LP's take on it, so far.
Well, damn nice! Since i live in europe i will get my copy on 13th so its really 2 weeks left, i am not going to listen to any leaks and i think the Forum will be floated with opinions (including mine, wich will be that this is Lps best Album ever made)
Consider each song had a different sound from the one before it, if anything I think they're more inspired on this album than previous albums. There's an underlying theme sound wise in all the tracks, but they all have their unique character. Don't worry...the tracks definitely don't blend into eachother and sound like one boring song. I think my review made that very clear . Honestly, it sounds fantastic but I believe the biggest jolts come from the "wow this is a Linkin Park song?" moments. Those pleasant little surprises where the band ventures into territory they haven't totally explored in the past and comes out sounding like a new and different band. Those were the moments that pleased me the most, and that's only after hearing half the album. I can't even imagine what comes next.
I thought the hype was dead for me , but yet , the last 14 days, it comes back I am pretty sure A Line In The Sand will be my favorite Track , i have a feeling

For some reason, I think that the short 5 second clip is from War, judging from Artisdirect's and Kerrang's descriptions of the song. About the profanity thing, I don't think he's screaming expletives. Not in that clip at least. The guy listening to it says 'fuck'. So it's possible that is indeed War.
