A Line In The Sand is just epic!! It has potential to be my favorite LP song of all time. Mike nailed singing in this song and the rap part reminds me of the bridge of By Myself which was very nostalgic to hear him rap like "old school" again.
Yeah, not feeling this album. Sorry guys. I'm off the LP train until the next go-round. Hopefully they don't play too much of this crap at the concert in September.
I'll go ahead and say it, if Imagine Dragons or any other rock band wins Best Rock Album of the Year for the Grammy's next year, then I have no trust in those critics opinions ever again. Best LP album and rock album in the past decade, and it's not even close. I loved A Thousand Suns and this is so much heavier, rawer, riskier, and visceral in every aspect imaginable. What's great is even the two/three officially released singles aren't the greatest songs on the album.
The songs we havent heard really surprised me. They are definitely a step above what we have heard previously beside guilty all the same. I really enjoy the dark nature of the first couple of songs and I was really happy to hear they also have some top notch choruses. Good stuff!
Had somebody told me this album would be "LP Goes 80s," I would have lost all interest. Turns out, that's almost exactly what it is in a lot of places, and I absolutely love that. Mark the Graves in particular might rival--if not top--any single track from ATS for me.
why are so many of you so called fans, ripping the album, and lol at all the hype around the 256 and 320 kbps files, that are blatantly less than 128kbps but just re-saved in the higher format, it don't improve quality you know, oh why waste my time, you all obviously believe you deserve to have the album for free......such a shame
What kind of sound where you hoping they would go for? I think they were in a rut when LT came out and could either go heavy or be experimental like ATS. I was fine with either decision.
Eh, it's an expected reaction, I guess. New LP album and stuff Question is whether or not that opinion will stick over the next few months
I'm really glad that I previewed this album before I rushed out and bought it on the 17th. I would have been highly disappointed and out 10 bucks. Given the choice between buying this album and eating a burrito + chips and guac from Chipotle, I choose the burrito. I may buy Final Masquerade as a single download. That's about the only song I have the desire to hear again.
Uploaded.to is the worst fucking site. Why does the only 320 have to be on that terrible site. Why do people even use it when there are so many other better options??
