What does Jesse think of THP so far? (I have not downloaded yet) That is a song that was used in the trailer for Joe's movie the Mall, with a soundtrack done by Mike, Chester, Dave, Joe, and some other. The majority of the users here on the LPA came to the conclusion that that is Mike singing.
Loving the album so far. It's simultaneously going the totally opposite direction from ATS and standing up to it as far as creative ambition goes. Definitely interesting. I'm also really enjoying the song connections all coming completely out of left field hahaha.
I know. I'll I meant to say with that is that some of the users here are skeptical it's him, even though it's no doubt him.
Thanks! I was curious if the heavier songs had a dip in quality but with songs like that, I doubt it will take away from its awesomeness.
all is awesome a line in the sand is disappointing for me , its like victimizied , the song before catalyst and guilty all the same mashed up xD i found it pretty weird
I couldn't resist and I'm listening to it. Here's my opinions to the unheared songs : Keys To The Kingdom - Melted my brain right at the beginning. This is a song that surelly will make the crowd go crazy when played live. Chester's on fire here. All For Nothing - Guitars are awesome in this one, especially in the bridge. The chorus is catchy in a good way. The Summoning/War - The Summoning is surely...weird. Hard to describe. War is some really fast punk shit with Chester screaming during the whole song. Cool, but maybe non for everyone. Awesome bridge. Mark The Graves - Very sperimental track, for some reason it remembers me of Blackout or,more generally,an heavier ATS song. Actually, this track would feel pretty good in A Thousand Suns. Probably one of the best tracks of this album. I want the lyrics ! To everyone complaining about the "standard LP structured songs" : you'll probably like this one. Drawbar - With Tom Morello,I expected an actual song, but this track is actually a good pause from the "heavy bombs". Obviusly good guitars by Morello,a nice piano and God Rob Bourdon always delivering a perfect drumming. Feels good before Final Masquerade. A Line In The Sand - This song is a storm hitting, literally. The begin is very emotional with Mike singing, before drums and guitars (very similar to Victimized at the beginning) hit. Mike and Chester singing together before the chorus and oh boy,the chorus is crazy. The guitars are pretty similar to GATS. Mike then raps. Yes,he BOTH sings and raps in this song ! The build-up to the chorus is engaging. Cool bridge. One thing I don't like : I can barelly hear Chester during the chorus. Ok,they wanted us to hear the guitars, but hell,Chester is literally sourmounted by them. Mike ends the song and the album singing.
