D: Blasphemy! haha But yeah, the list of sponsors is getting increasingly long. And the album hasn't even been released yet!
Any idea if its a custom designed computer too? Cause if its just a regular dell with sounds from Linkin Park, I hate to break it to Dell but I can do that myself for free. It's called using Windows Themes.
I don't really see what they can do that someone else couldn't do for cheap/a lot easier. Like you said you can just do window themes if its LP audio themed. Anybody can make a case that has, say, the LIVING THINGS artwork all over it. The only thing that would really make anyone get this is for collection's sake. Curious to see what they are doing with this >.>
Hahaha. It does say the word "tool" though and we all know how that's Mike's favorite word... Also, LP branded TINFOIL!
Like I said, wasn't talking about the game. Turns out I was thinking of the EUFA European Championship 2012, in which BURN IT DOWN is the official song in Europe. It means when you buy a Dell Computer package bundle that includes Open Labs, it will come pre-installed with a custom Linkin Park "sounds" pack to experiment with and use in the program when mixing your music. Hence, the Linkin Park Edition computer. You can also just buy Open Labs from the Dell website for $299 which will also come bundled with the Linkin Park "sounds" when you download it.
Hello! Mike Corley here from the Open Labs technical support department. What we have is a very powerful line of Dell laptops and all-in-one PC's, powered by Open Labs Music OS, our ground breaking live performance and light duty DAW. Linkin Park has been absolutely fantastic to work with, and have provided us with over 200 original sounds and loops, created by the band, as well as an exclusive demo song for Music OS. These sounds are just the beginning, and new sounds from LP will be released over the next year on a regular basis. So, this is much more than a Linkin Park themed PC. This is LP partnering with companies who can put the tools to make music directly in your hands. If any of you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected]. We look forward to working with the entire Linkin Park community. -m Oh, by the way, the condom joke was hilarious.
Exclusive demo song? Can we know any more about that? EDIT: Or is it like, an exclusive demo loop for the software created by the band?
Hello! We stay pretty busy here at Open Labs, so I don't have time to stop an shoot a video. If you don't know, Open Labs provides much more than hardware and software; our technicians act as a mini music production school, and can teach you everything from basic computer skills to explaining and demonstrating complex recording skills. We even help install and configure third-party applications like Pro tools, Ableton, or what have you. ANNNyway...enough commercials... I took a screen shot of Music OS open and the LP demo song loaded. It's all loops from the band, using our included VST. Free for you to mix and remix, chop fold and manipulate. It's called "Bruiser". It's pretty loud, has a definite dubstep influence, and give a good starting point to your interactions with Music OS. Here's a quick video that demonstrates just what Music OS is: http://youtu.be/rtVuyx-GPF0 -m
Hello, welcome to the LPA! Thank you for your help and information. I think we all want to hear that demo now haha, sounds awesome.
My excitement for this just shot through the roof. I apologize for any doubts I had. The press release didn't do a good job explaining it at all. Now I'm pumped. Ree/someone, could you edit his info into the post? I can't do it from my cell.
