Rick Rubin was great on MTM and ATS...but then, there's the first half of LT... Wasn't his job to say "guys, this [and by this I mean LITE, BID, LGM and IBG] sounds generic and boring"?
Haha true. I suppose the people suggesting Brian Eno are on to something then, though I don't like U2 or Coldplay.
I don't think Trent would even want to work with Linkin Park (unless we're just saying who we wish they would work with), but stranger things have happened. Someone like Danger Mouse or Dan The Automator, though, that I could see happening.
I'd be interested in a Linkin Park x Nightwish collaboration but that would never happen. Like ever. That's fantasy realm shit right there.
Yeah, I was just saying what I wish would happen. But if we're supposed to be serious about this, agreed, I don't think he would want to.
Okay, realistically? Trent Reznor, Danger Mouse, Dan The Automator, and Mike Shinoda all producing. Replace Rob Bourdon with Dave Grohl. Replace Brad Delson with John Frusciante. Replace Phoenix with Pino Palladino. Replace Joe with DJ Shadow. Get literally anybody else to write the lyrics.
Eh, came off as a bit passive aggressive to me, but fair enough. Hard to tell on the internet, but I'm willing to admit when I misread things What I meant by a collaboration was mainly on an instrumental scale. The two bands styles preforming a marriage of styles with LP on vocals and NW on backing vocals. I think something truly amazing could come from that, even though I don't think NW vocalists would work on an LP-ish sound. Can you imagine LP doing symphonic metal and inserting some of their electronic elements and stuff on a 6+ minute long song?
Fair enough. I was only messing around. I had that GIF up and I thought it was hilarious enough, so I just posted it. Sorry.
^This is me just at the thought of LP going Symphonic Metal! Get Jari Mäenpää to produce, oh man that would be fuckin' great!
