It has been more than a week since this tragedy happend, everybody is sad and mourning about Chester. His family already laid him to rest last sunday. The best way to remember Chester is for Linkin Park to make a Tribute song for him. To celebrate his live and express their feelings in form of Music. All the money they get from the song should be donated to Suicide Prevention Organisation and for Depression researchs. Do you think Linkin Park should make a Trubute song for Chester? I await your answers!
I would love to hear Mike sing One More Light. Maybe even have gang vocals at the end. It would be the perfect tribute/goodbye.
I would prefer a new song in tribute to Chester, not just Mike making a version of a song that has already been released because versions and covers have been coming out from other artists, a new song would be more true to the LP as a band and be something that new and unique.
Why not have Mike Shinoda sing One More Light in memory of Chester Bennington and a New song as a Tribute for him. That would be the best thing to do and it would make everybody happy.
A song is not enough to give tribute to Chester. An album would be better but not this time. We will give them time to grieve.
I can pretty much guarantee that if we get an album after this, it'll be similar to AIC's Black Gives Way To Blue in the sense that a good amount of the album deals with the band coming to grips with the tragedy, all those years later. I can see many songs about Chester coming if the band continues.
...and I'm not surprised if they titled the album "Chester". (just pure speculation, tho) but I do really hope the band continues... not just only Mike or Fort Minor but the rest of the band as well.
Hey Guys, I made this video and music to remember Chester Bennington. More 2 come. Please subscribe if you want to see more and share this video. Leave a comment and free to share this community on my youtube channel.
I think they should release One More Light as the final Linkin Park single and to dedicate the song to him.
You know what would be great? If it was a Beautifull ballad where mike begins singing during the chorus and the couplet, in the bridge a kind of gang vocals kinda idea. And the last two lines the most beautiful two lines that chester did record but never got used in a song. I think that would be an emotional rollercoaster.
Yeah well, I think it the question should be more about the likelihood of X thing happening in the future rather than what fans feel the band should do. In that mindset, I do think the five guys will definitely make at least one song to honor or remember Chester.. Think it's waaay to soon to speak about an album or anything of the sorts, but I have this hunch that there'll be at least one more song. And whatever they come up with I'm definitely sure it'll be amazing; ten years ago we would've thought we couldn't get anything else other than rapping from Mike (vocally speaking), but he's progressed so much since LP released his first singing tracks in MTM. Mike flourished to his best so far in OML, I hope to hear more from him. Coincidentially, I started thinking about this just yesterday, good to have found a thread for it.
I really like to see Mike doing more ballads now instead of rapping. his singing skills pretty much improved since then.
Don't think they SHOULD do it. No pressure on them for anything. Let them decide what needs to be done. I think if they DO do it, it'll be nice.
They should make one. Not only it could be a tribute to Chester, but a thank you to the fans for being there 24/7/365. It should incorporate at least one element from each of the seven studio albums.
Also, they've had such a long career now that it'd be a good (and presumably long overdue ) follow up to Frat Party.
Black Gives Way to Blue is such a brilliant comeback album. If LP decides to do something like that, I'm all for it.
