Linkin Park just updated LinkinPark.com with a 50 second snippet of Mike Shinoda sitting at a piano playing music and singing inaudibly. Some words are audible though. This could be from the start of the process since the band has said that they focused on melody and words first, or it could have been filmed yesterday just for this teaser. It's hard to tell. The video was linked to a linkinpark.com/o domain, the significance of the "o" is yet unknown but as this is slated to be 1 of 8, future clips will probably reveal the meaning behind this. What do you think of the clip? Come and discuss it in our forums. Source: LinkinPark.com
He's softly singing some lyrics but I can't make most of it out. Love the chord progression, it's beautiful.
I think we're gonna get some sort of alternative arrangement/stripped down version of each track like this piano one before we hear the finished versions. I'd love if that turns out to be true, seeing the beginnings and evolution of each track would be facinating.
Love it! But I guess that maybe this is an early version of thw single maybe? And the final version will be better produced and maybe this piano part will be replaced by samples? I don't know, I'm really looking forward to listen this album!
I have a feeling the song with kiiara won't be their lead single. If they are just now filming a music video for a song that'll come out next week it feels a little late.
I can definetely listen Chester singing this instead of Mike. Maybe this is the chorus, something like: "Holding on... " and I can't understand the next part, anyone?
That sounds so amazing. Maybe one clip every day from now on? That could mean that the single could be out next friday, the last clip?
A little hard getting too excited over this. I mean, it sounds fine but pretty basic. However, I do like how it sort of gives peak into the earlier stages of the writing process. It would be cool if each day up to the release (of this presumable single) we get another mini teaser showing different stages of how the song was made. (Some words audible words: "Holding on - Why is everything so heavy")
Am I the only one curious about the URL of their website? https://linkinpark.com/o Slash "O". What's "O"? Could it be something related to the album's name?
