thats what im saying too. with all the different styles and genres they have done and experimented with, im surprise that they havent done many acoustic songs, except for The Messenger. i would love this direction for LP7.
I think it's brilliant how they were able to completely redefine the atmosphere for Final Masquerade by stripping it down and making Mike a prominent vocalist. The song gained some truly humble roots to stand on. I find a lot of bands just kind of "phone in" acoustic renditions of songs by either taking a carbon-copy of the studio vocals and throwing them on an acoustic instrumental, or using an overly dramatic vocal take over a cookie-cutter acoustic chord jam. I honestly expected this to be a direct vocal seed from the album version thrown over a cheesy acoustic guitar. I was pleasantly surprised in the end. Maybe it's just the excitement of an acoustic Linkin Park song, but I think this rendition is something special. And yes, I would love to see more of it.
Finally listened. I want an EP of this stuff! Shinoda over intimate acoustic guitars really works On the other hand, this is obviously Linkin Park caving into popular trends, seeing as radio pop has moved towards slow acoustic jams and such
Such an amazing rendition.. YES!! LP is totally unpredictable in terms of direction of music. Hoping for an Acoustic EP please? Mike, if you're reading this, Make it happen.. Maybe some new tracks and renditions of CASTLE OF GLASS & other folk stuff on that era. Props to Shinoda & Bennington on the vocals.. Brad also did an amazing job on the guitar.
That's what I thought! Linkin Park is going mellow again The chorus melody will always suck hard, but I like this a lot better than the album version.
Perfect, I primarily listen to music when I go to bed, so naturally I look for softer work to fall asleep to. I've been saying ever since I heard "Primo" that I'd prefer an album like this. Not one for hard rock (at least not as of lately), I'd take this any day over anything on the "The Hunting Party". I've been waiting for what feels like forever to hear a version of this song with Mike on it, and it's so nice to finally hear it.
Linkin Park used Final Masquerade Acoustic : It hits the feels super effective THIS is what i waited for after The Messenger, another Acoustic song, and its amazing. I liked the normal version, but this kicks the ass of the normal version so hard, that i am sure it could sit for a LOOOOONG time Great stuff. Now i want more
Yep. When Delson tells everyone that Ed Sheeran was a core influence on his guitar-playing for the seventh Linkin Park album, none of us should be surprised. An acoustic v. of "Final Masquerade" is a fine start, but the band should totally follow this with a series of songs that are built from the ground up in this style
