Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if doing this might inspire them to turn it down a notch on the next album. Although, THP came out of nowhere so it's hard to know what to actually expect, obviously, haha.

This is seriously great. I would totally buy a full acoustic album.

    This...

Mike's vocals are a very pleasant surprise on this track, and the flipping between Mike and Chester's vocals is just amazing.

    Wow, this was beautiful.

The acoustic guitar was beautiful, the singing. Chester sounds way better on this one than the original and Mike just sounds so nice. It's like a song you'll listen to in the night, holding a candle.(Nevermind me, I'm weird)

The original is pretty meh and my least favourite on THP and to me and this just caught me right off my guard. WOW.

This is exactly why I called for a more stripped down, acoustic album after Living Things. THEY DO IT SO FUCKING WELL.

Oh, and the guitar "solo" being a made a simple piano line? Perfection.

This is such a great cover. And it's redone quite well. I just love the simplicity of the track, but yet such a strong and powerful acoustic song. Would love to hear an album like this.

LP deserves tons of credit today!

Am I the only one who can't get the song to play at all?

This highlights everything that Linkin Park can do well when they're on top of their game. Simple but super effective.

Well, if they want to continue with being different with each record and trying not to repeat themselves, a stripped-down mainly acoustic record is a wonderful idea. And it would surprise most of the people, given the fact that they've only had one acoustic track for the almost 20 years they've been together. It even seems like a logical step after The Hunting Party, come to think about it.

Anyway, great version of Final Masquarade! I didn't expect Mike to have such a prominent role in it, but it really adds something to the track. I hope it serves as an influence to their future writing, even if they don't take the acoustic path.

This is really great. I wish they would do more acoustic songs. So far, they have a perfect track record of acoustic songs (with the 2 they have, haha).

This is exactly why they need to do a (mostly) unplugged/acoustic album.

    Absolutely beautiful.

I know it's already been said a lot, but I've always wanted LP to do a stripped down, mellow, acoustic/orchestral focused record. This just proves that they could pull it off. I love THP, but softer music is just more... beautiful to me, if they made another album on par with ATS in experimentation with roughly this sound, that would be a dream come true for me.

Actually, thinking about it, they were probably only able to record this due to Chester's injury, right? I don't want to get excited over nothing of course, but I wonder what other goodies we might get.

Honestly, I think they should blend this type of acoustic stuff with whatever new direction they want to go. I've always thought it would be cool to blend stripped down acoustic stuff with heavier or experimental music (if it hasn't been done already + can be done). Maybe LP can be the first band I know of that does it.

It's cool that they did something like this in the 'non-album' time. Hopefully they have some surprises in store in the future as well.
