This song reminded me "Not Alone" exists and is actually very much in the style of what I'd like to hear for LP 7. I see there is also an acoustic on that track, that's exciting. Waiting for that lead single is killing me.

 

I get a ATS mixed with LT vibe with this latest post, seems more folkish but has some elements of ATS. Who knows. LP is so unpredictable but im happy we get to see these mini updates from the studio

 

I just don't want another Living Things.....

 

Sounds quite experimental/moody and not cookie-cutter unlike their last few efforts. If this is any indication of their new sound then I'm excited. I expect them to make a mature album with a more thoughtful edge to it.

 

.....that is....unless we get another Burn It Down, please......

 

Why does Mike mention Auto Tune in the Kanye article ? He doesn't use auto tune on Ultralight Beam.

 

is this album suppose to be the album/direction they were heading towards before they decided to go with THP? Feels like it to me.

 

Seems like it reminds each person of a different song. Which is interesting. For me, it reminds me of the intro for Shadow of The Day. I like it.

Ironically, I saw Auto Tune used in one of Mike's Pro Tools sessions for "The Catalyst". It's on a YouTube video for, I think, Future Magazine. Or some music production magazine

 

Okay, but LP has used it so much less and at a much smaller extent than Kanye does.

I am loving the sound of this little session though. Ya got me excited, LP.
