Perhaps your dad should show him how he should have done it!
Always enjoy a good "Airplane!" reference.
As for the video, I think it's just crazy fun. Also, I'm really loving that intro synth.
Having watched this a few times, I have to say that this is probably in my top 5 favorite LP MV's. It's intentionally hilarious, which is something usually lacking from the band in official releases. This is fun, and I hope they do more stuff like this in the future. Not everything has to be so heavy.
This music video is fucking great. People seriously need to lighten up... Stuff like this is just fun to watch. Let the band have a good time.
Do you like movies about gladiators?
The hype for this album has been shit.
In what way?
It's been way better then LT or THP imo. Loads more promotion, awesome videos, live performances of new tracks (often acoustically and 2 versions of two singles) and the band seem to genuinely be having fun. Plus watching the amount of butthurt and whining from certain sections of the fanbase has made it even better.
It's been awesome
Well, not everyone like that type of humour, me neither. It's as simple as that.
@HybridT: Don't know actually, could be. I found nothing on Wikipedia so far.
Maybe he means among the fans?
I agree. Because I too am not hyped for it. I don't care about 'muh nu-metal!' and I usually do dig Linkin Pop, but nothing so far has peaked my interest. I doubt I'm the only non-Metora loving fan that's been underwhelmed.
I mean the fan base doesn't seem hype
Solid Airplane quote, @Todd.
I dunno, I'm still massively hyped, I just don't feel the need to always post about it haha. I guess there are quite a few others like me
Listen kid, He's been hearing that crap ever since he was at UCLA. He was out there busting his buns every night. Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes.
Ok, this has to be one of my favorite music videos from LP. Just watched it for the 4th time, and it really is hilariously absurd. What can I say, even the guests' verses are growing on me, except a few lines which I haven't liked from the start. Still a decent song overall, though Talking To Myself (studio version) may end being just a bit better for me, if the live performance is close enough to the actual version.
I'm not superexcited about the upcoming album but the promotion is really good, a lot of shows, performances and different versions of the same song. The band seems to be genuinly proud and it's showing. As for the songs, it'd be in this order for me Good Goodbye-Talking to Myself- Battle Symphony- Heavy although I can't really decide between the first and second place.
Hold up, just getting onto this thread now. People didn't absolutely adore this video? Man, what the hell? It's easily one of their best for me. I thought Heavy was a mega underwhelming music video (as much as I love the song)... but this video is awesome! How can you not love Mortal Kombat meets basketball meets Linkin Park? The title treatments and the 80s/90s VHS effects look fantastic too.
Have you ever been in a Turkish prison?
