Kind of disappointed that there isn't a bridge though because the Lost in The Echo bridge is one of my favorites but I'll live with with 3 verses.
Wow, did she even watch the Box video? That is 100% taken from our post with no credit at all. Definitely should be called out. I'm dead.
Mike needs to give up rap he's just not good at it anymore and when he was he was only ok. It's hilarious that they said they focused more on the lyrics and the 3 songs so far are what we get. Mentioning the artists names ruins the song too.
Good God. Need to hear how it flows, but it's not looking too good (King Push' verse looks solid though). I had hoped Mike brought the fire on this track.
With the right delivery, I'm totally fine with these lyrics. "Sarcastic" definitely sounds like it was the right word to describe the track, because it's coming off as very intentionally not self-serious. If that was the goal and it comes across in the track itself, this all looks good to me. I like Mike's verses that are more lighthearted and are almost goofing off. Discussing the lyrics without the context of the song is kind of difficult, though.
I'm still looking forward to hearing Stormzy on this! I do think some people won't like his type of music/delivery though. This will be interesting.
I'm digging it. Looks dope. A hip hop banger is what I expected and its what I get. Mikes verse is still better than most (if not all) his rapping on THP at least.
Mike, pls stop. You just can't pull off that braggadocio style. We're 3 songs in and I can't see how exactly they benefited from writing lyrics first. I haven't seen anything that is a huge improvement over their past material. Hoping the beat is good. Maybe then I can just tune out the lyrics and listen to it like a piece of ear candy.
All I can say is thank FUCK Mike only has one rap verse on this entire album. Could you imagine more of...that?
