The guy can scream a bit right? I think it would suffice in combination with the rest of the mix and with some help from the audience? I don't know how durable his voice is in a live show but a scaled down set in heaviness might be a good solution then. And then in the future songs that suit him more. But first, tomorrow!!! What will it be?! I'm going nuts like it's a day before an album release. I'm getting nostalgic!
Deryck can do like more agressive pop punk vocals but not really scream like you would need for One Step Closer / Given Up I’ve seen them 4 times live and he can handle a full show perfectly fine. I’ve always found him to be good live. But yeah he wouldn’t be able to do the super heavy screams. Either way he finally addressed the rumors and said it’s not him.
Just an idea. I was listening to my music library on shuffle today and ‘Open Door’ came on. It got me reminiscing about when it first dropped (frames) I remember a lot of people were asking about the contributing artist(s) and they could swear they could hear Chester’s ‘screams’ Maybe an ‘un-known’ artist could potentially fill in the vacant spot?

Glad that Deryck confirmed he's not the vocalist. Dont think the band is trying to "replace Chester". Just that the band as a collective want to do more.

Just happy for anything - new tour, new music, etc. The death of one member, while of course tragic, should not force the others to call it quits if they don't want to. I'm happy for them, and wish them the best with whatever we find about about tomorrow.
