After much hype through the band's official social media accounts, and through The Linkin Park Underground website itself, Linkin Park have finally pulled away the curtains on LPU XIII and it's absolutely awesome. The official tracklist for this year's demo CD includes all three of the original demos that were later combined to create "UNTIL IT BREAKS", as well as other demos including "Pretty Birdy" ("Somewhere I Belong"), "Holding Company" ("LOST IN THE ECHO"), "Primo" ("I'LL BE GONE"), two tracks by LPU Sessions winners and much, much more. The LPU's theme for LPU XIII's package is "Community, Sustainability and Technology" and involves a three-pronged approach: the "community" aspect includes efforts to build a stronger connection with members; "Castle Of Glass" art contest winner Dika Toolkit was called upon to come up with the look for LPU XIII, including the CD packaging artwork, and a poster created by LPU members is included in the package. the "sustainability" aspect is highlighted with items which will be included in the full LPU package that were created using 100% recycled material as for "technology", the full package includes a device called "PlugAir" which can be plugged into your mobile phone's audio jack to allow for access to streamable/downloadable LPU-exclusive content. The official tracklist for the "LPU XIII" CD can be seen below: "Basquiat" (2007 demo) "Holding Company" (2011 demo) "Primo" ("I'LL BE GONE" - longform 2010 demo) "Hemispheres" (2011 demo) "Cumulus" (2002 demo) "Pretty Birdy" ("Somewhere I Belong" 2002 demo) "Universe" (2006 demo) "Apaches" ("UNTIL IT BREAKS" demo No. 1) "Foot Patrol" ("UNTIL IT BREAKS" demo No. 2) "Three Band Terror" ("UNTIL IT BREAKS" demo No. 3) Ryan Giles: "Truth Inside A Lie" (LPU Sessions 2013) Beta State: "Change" (LPU Sessions 2013) Furthermore, additional details on the packages have been released: JOIN THE LP UNDERGROUND NOW
Time to delve into my cryptic tweet Friday night: The LPU's theme for LPU XIII's package is "Community, Sustainability and Technology." What is this sorcery you might ask? Well let's start with Community. Remember this? Apparently the guys in Linkin Park liked what Dika Toolkit did so much that they allowed them to design the artwork for the entire LPU XIII package! How fucking cool is that!? Next, Sustainability. We were told that there will be one item included in the LPU package that will be made up of 100% recycled material. The last thing is Technology. This has me intrigued. We were told that an item included in the package will be a device called "plug air." Apparently you plug this into your mobile phone's audio jack and it downloads/streams content from LPU's cloud. Buzzwords.
#FANRIGL I'm definitely going for the All-in-One package. I'm loving the shirt, the art, CD tracklist looks banging. WOOT!

Ha! Many of us noticed the artwork had the influences from the guy who won the COG contest. Props for those who called it!
Wow, the three UIB demos. That's sweet. And Holding Company sound awesome. I hope Cumulus is the "piano-drum" demo from the Meteora DVD...
