Don't know what you're talking about. It's still in the top 20 in US itunes and in the top 15 in pop radio charts in US. If anything, the song is doing really well despite the hate.
''The song was written about Mike’s kids and the thought that when they get older and become teenagers, it will be harder to discipline them. According to him, “Invisible” sends the listener to that moment when, in a parental or mentoring situation, you have to tell your kids something they don’t wanna hear and you want them to know you’re doing it because you care, not because you wanna hurt their feelings.'' I'm sorry, but it's impossible for me to hate this song. Even if everyone call it a "pop garbage that plays on the radios". This song is completely emotional ... I have a very difficult relationship with my father and I can identify myself in the lyrics. (sorry for the english)
Ahah yeah, exactly that. I love the instrumental here. So chill, yet emotion-charged. Fits perfectly with Mike's voice and the lyrics.
That's my favorite track out of the four we've gotten so far. Mike's voice suits this type of music soooo well. It's really unfortunate he sings so little on OML, but now I can't wait to hear Sorry For Now.
Oh yeah, when I was in Austria around Easter(I am from Bulgaria), the song was on the radio like every 2 hours and everywhere...and I remember that there was a street musician who played it hahaha
From released songs: 1 - Good Goodbye 2 - Invisible 3 - Battle Symphony 4 - Heavy I love all of the songs...so waiting to hear studio version of TTM and OML and hyped for Sorry for Now and Sharp Edges
The live version was better, but damn, is this way better than Heavy and Battle Symphony. Mike sounds fantastic. Shame he is underutilized on this album.
do you realize how many "mainstream pop" songs by established artists go to radio never get off the ground? I'm not defending the song. What you think of it is what you think. But to say that it's not working at radio simply isn't true.
Here in Dubai, 'Heavy' is played constantly on Virgin Radio. It was in their top 10 most voted/requested songs for weeks here. There was a station that even played Battle Symphony a number of times. I'm yet to hear Good Goodbye tho.
With the exception of Good Goodbye, every song sounds the same. The only difference is that Mike is singing instead of Chester. Other than that, it sounds just like the Heavy and Battle Symphony. They all got the same song structure and similar sounding beats. LP are becoming the new NickelBack.
TIL: Mike sounds better on pop music than Chester Best song and lyrics so far imo until maybe "One More Light" (track) releases. I love that
Eh? Structure wise, I agree with you. I think everyone will agree with you. It's one of the issues many have with the new songs that it's very conventional in that aspect. But Battle Symphony and Invisible are nowhere near like Heavy or each other for that matter. The vibe and atmosphere of all 3 songs are completely different.
''They all got the same song structure and similar sounding beats'' Hm ... look like, maybe, Hybrid Theory?
