The band have previously released tracks Heavy, Battle Symphony and Good Goodbye. I'm really glad Mike has reached the point where he is confident enough in his vocals that he can take lead for a full song not just in the studio, but live as well. He rocked this song and it definitely has the feel of something only Mike's voice would fit. Hope this one makes it big.
I like it, prefer the live version but this plus what I've heard of the One More Light track, gives me hope for the album
First of all, really fast at making the post @Joe The song is brilliant, I love the lead vocals from Mike, he sounds so confident, if chester did a version of this song, mikes singing would be still be better in my opinion. Really loving this album, it really is a welcome change after THP, and I love that album
Love this song so much! The lyrics really hit me. It sums up so many of my relationships so well. From a musical standpoint, I love the chill vibes. I want to go on a road trip up the coast of California and blast this song. The drums groove so well. And I love the guitar in the final chorus.
It's better than the other 3, but still very generic. Just the usual radio pop song. There's things I like about it. I think the verses are nice enough, I think Mike does pretty well and I think the lyrics are decent, definitely better than the other 3. But the intrumental is still very very disappoiting. The intrumental is so generic.
So 4 out of 10 songs leaked already. We don't know if there are any interludes in the remaining 6. Anybody else feel this is a hint of desperation by the band, that Heavy and co. failed to live up to the hype and didn't get the airtime that they thought it would?
I don't care if it's generic radio pop or whatever you want to call it, if it's a good song it's a good song. This in my opinion is a great song, mellow and interesting with a build up and meaningful lyrics. Mike sounds great here, I love this so much.
Lyrics are much more powerful than the instrumental. But this is not bad at all. Better than Heavy, IMO. And here we have conspiracy theorists...
Yeah, the lyric video makes it even better. The video is almost like a montage of all the important people in Mike's life and how the song could apply to them. I love this. This is genuine.
