Just heard the instrumental of heavy, and i have to say that i think it has a good beat its better than album version, This song needs rapping on it to go with the beat. And other things. Kiiara just doesnt belong on this song, i think thats what alot of fans are most upset about and i feel the same way. If it was just chester singing and mike rapping it would be pretty decent.
I admire Reanimate's commitment in repeating himself how Linkin Park's new song is ruining his life. It makes for some great comedy.
Kiiara is the highlight. A lot of those who disagree are lying when they say "I don't hate pop but..."
Living Things wasn't a pop rock album though... 5 songs are basically folk with electronic samples, and the 6 others besides Powerless were pretty much alternative
They say that they've gone sell out but i'm pretty sure, LP is doing LP It's not like they made a song about doing drugs or getting p***y And if they make an album that's nu metal there would still be whining just the same And if they make an album that's nu metal there would still be whining just the same Holding on, why must everything be heavy Holding on, to the era of Hybrid Theory They keep dragging around they want the old sound If they'd just let go they'd be set free Holding on, why must everything be heavy And if they make an album that's nu metal there would still be whining just the same And if they make an album that's nu metal there would still be whining just the same And they drive themselves crazy listening to Heavy Holding on, why must everything be heavy Holding on, to the era of Hybrid Theory They keep dragging around they want the old sound If they'd just let go they'd be set free Holding on, why must everything be heavy Why must everything be heavy Why must everything be heavy
but very few people in this thread have actually stated they want another HT in response to "Heavy". The problem fans have with Heavy isn't because it's different, it's because it's a girly teenage pop track. It's not difficult to understand, peeps.
Death Metal, Country, Gospel, Soul, Metalcore, straight up Metal, Indie rock, Jazz, Trance, House, Blues, ect. I could go on and on. I'm sure LP8 will be totally different than LP7
lol "girly". Aren't you the same person who said you don't want to hear a woman in a Linkin Park song and sarcastically said that you must be racist if you don't like when Mike raps? ... whatever that means. Yep.
There's no arguing with them. They're stuck in this mindset that they need to agree with Mike & Chester at all times.. really weird. Look at the comments in that video, 90% of them are disappointed, angry etc.. "R.I.P linkin park" - 770 upvotes "Linkin Pop" - 500 upvotes "WTF is this pop?!" - 350 upvotes "wtf is this? is this the band of numb, in the end, papercut... you are failing your fans LP please return to what you were" - 250 upvotes "Well done you fucking assholes, you just made 70% of your fanbase think you're only in it for the money." - 130 upvotes Worst shit ever..
I think the fact that the band are working with Justin Beiber's producers is reason enough for people to dislike this direction. That, to me at least, sounds like a band bending the knee for chart success. Aside from Chris Cornell working with Timbaland, I can't think of many other alternative rock bands that have done anything like this. I mean their last album featured Rakim, Tom Morello, Daren Malakian and Paige Hamilton...If nothing else it's just completely shocking that this is how things have turned out. That said, the band has always strived for commercial success, if that wasn't the case then the band wouldn't have released Until It's Gone and Final Masquerade from an album that sounded largely nothing like those songs. But as Chester's tweets would suggest, they're not concerned with people's reactions. Admirable in a way I guess.
This fucking guy's all about this "triggered" shit huh. Profile says 27. God I hope this guy isn't actually pushing 30 years of age screaming 'triggered! feminists! reeeeeeeee!!!'. Least of all over Linkin goddamn Park songs.
Citing YouTube comments as a source... again. Why does it have to be one way or another? Not everyone who doesn't shit on the song is just a yes man for the band and not everyone who dislikes it is because they just want Hybrid Theory and Meteora. Saying there's no arguing with "them" is the funniest shit I've seen in this thread considering your avatar and the ratio of shitposts to constructive posts from you. There's a lot of songs the band has made that I consider utter shit but I don't go in the threads for them and shitpost constantly about it. I realise it's just not for me and move on. Even when I don't like something I can understand why others can. You on the other hand think that liking this song makes you a sheep or something. You do not speak for the fan base. You're not going to like everything they do. Holy fuck is it tiring seeing you constantly cherry pick the negative comments as a source for how they should go back to their old sound. A lot of people like it and more importantly the band like it, but fuck what the band want to do, right? Why should they get a say? But there's no arguing with "them"?! Ok. You really need to re-evaluate the amount of time you put in to things you don't like because copying and pasting Youtube comments can't be healthy.
I find it funny that people are getting angry over a song that isnt even that bad. I bet the only reason they're getting all bent out of shape is the fact that song doesnt have GUITARZ and SCREAMZ. I'd think it'd be a great idea for Linkin Park (and Chester for that matter) if the screaming never came back and they just focused on making new things.
Not for me. I enjoy screaming but ATS is my favourite album by the band and it only has one song with screaming.
