Thank's for reminding me that Until It's Gone is probably my favorite piece of music Linkin Park ever made, no matter how cliche and repetitive it sounds. You guys are free to hate me, I really don't care
I listened to few of her songs. they are autotuned to a good amount. On heavy, her sound is raw and its clearly audible.
Good to at least see some positivity ☺️. It genuinely feels as though this is the music they wanted to make, and I love that!!
Well so... this is what I think. Right now I'm enjoying a lot this track, a bit disappointed of the song length though. But I'm afraid because I don't feel the same pleasure as I felt the first couple of listens. Basically, I'm saying that it's very likely that I will get bored very fast and maybe it will turn out to be like Burn It Down or What I've Done. But well, I'm waiting for the album but I have to say that I'm not that hyped anymore... I was expecting something like A Thousand Suns. Not sonically, but lyrically and mentally.
There is absolutely Auto Tune on Heavy, just as there has been on literally every Linkin Park studio vocal track dating all the way back to Hybrid Theory.
Pitch-Correction and Auto-Tune are technically two different things. And correct me if I'm wrong but don't they use pitch-correction?
^ This. It's basically industry standard. Basically any and all professional studio music recordings will involve it. No different from editing takes or any other post-recording techniques. All for correction. Pitch correction is generally what Auto-Tune and Melodyne are used to achieve. As tools, they can alter pitches completely (Melodyne, especially) and things like that, but they mainly get used to fix minor off-key moments in recordings and performances.
Been a fan of every single album since the beginning. Saying this is trash means something. Can't change a true fan's feelings about the extremely poppy sound they are going to. Extremely. poppy.
Amazing. I remember this blog post from Mike where he talked about internet trolls and such. He said that bad comments and inconformity is easier to find and to see everywhere because when people want to complain about something or are annoyed by something they look for the means to make themselves be heard. For instance, Coca-cola is my favorite drink, and I don't have to be posting on the internet everytime I drink an ice cold glass of awesome. However if that gave me a stomach illness or a monstruous rash on my body I would be bombarding social media, demanding compensation and telling all people dark sugary drinks KILL. People who listen to a certain song and like it don't need to scream it out on the street, they don't feel compelled to, might drop a "Cool!" and that's it. However those who are angry will vent and flood social channels. Simple. That's why you'll find so much negativity out there. Those who like it don't need to put an armor and fight it to the death (though some do it, sigh), we are chilling out in our homes doing whatever. However look at that guy who literally went through every page to like every negative comment found in this thread. I don't have the time for that.
Wish I saved those snapchats of Trace Cyrus explaining the difference between using programs for pitch correction and Auto-Tune Even if Linkin Park technically uses auto-tune, I don't look at it as auto tune. Auto tune is what Fetty Wap, Ke$ha, Future, and T-Pain use in my head, and some artists to a lesser extent. But Tony is right that everyone uses some form of pitch-correction
Yea thats what im talking about. Comparing Heavy to Mainstream Pop music is absurd And comparing Chester to Beiber, man seriously. This is the height of foolishness
Most main stream pop doesn't use auto-tune like that. Ke$ha is the only one who abuses it off the tip of my head
You know what, I wasnt too impressed with this song. But I'm not disappointed because like you said, Mike and Chester seem really proud of this song and I am really happy to see that. Also, this song is infectious. It's been stuck in my head since I've heard it. So good on LP. I hope this becomes a top 20 hit. The song has been doing well on iTunes charts around the world so far. http://kworb.net/itunes/artist/linkinpark.html
