They were also in last week for a review of LT which got 3/5 Ks which makes it more amusing that they are using Chester/LP to sell the magazine this week :/ though admittedly the reviewer did appreciate ATS and thought LT was the wrong direction for them.

I don't think LT will be the album that gets everybody back, we'll have to see where lp goes from here and that will decide
if everyone will come back, cause so far this album is getting mixed reviews just like m2m. But if lp decides to go all folk on the next album forget
    about everyone coming back.

I'm tired of all of these reviews arguing "ATS was not bad, why do they come back to this ?". In 2010, they've all killed ATS !

I grow tired of magazines and commentators online speaking as though the band have something to apologize for with A Thousand Suns. They most certainly do not. Sure, they may have lost some 'old fans' who can't seem to move on but they have also gained many more.

Not true. Kerrang gave it 4/5 stars and many reviewers called it an impressive leap forward for the band. On metacritic it had "generally favorable reviews" and even got compared to Radiohead's Kid-A by MTV.

Sure there were some really negative press reviews and some fans who flipped their shit and called it awful, but its generally been one of their more well received albums by critics.

ATS actually received the best metacritic score apparently. 66/100
