It would be awesome if LP did some dubstep on the next record, anyone else agree?

I'd prefer they did whatever and had dubstep producers remix that shit. :)

Well, considering the Wretches and Kings remix is dubstep, I can definitely see it happen in the future.

Think it'd be great to see them embrace some of the current trends in music, it might hurt their credibility, but if they really want to be experimental, how about Linkin Park dubstep, think about its, its never been done, and seems so out there that'd it'd truly be unquie.

Mixing dub with Mike's rap vocals / Chester's voice has huge potential imho.

I pretty much hate all of the dubstep remixes so far but maybe I'd like the genre better if I was listening to orignal songs (which is something I should do haha). I'm sure LP could make me like it especially if they incorporated rap with it.

There was that one part in Black Out that was like 140bpm, snare on third.

None of that wub shit. If they did something like Distance, Vex'd, Ital Tek etc. it'd be sick though.

Yeah, that breakdown part in "Blackout" is pretty cool. :" And it's as close to dubstep as they ever get on the album.

I wouldn't mind some hint of dubstep sprinkled in, but I don't want it to dominate the overall sound.

Maybe, if they can do it without sounding like they're jumping on a bandwagon late.

Gonna be near impossible for many not to criticize them if they were to add some "dubstep" parts, however, this shouldn't stop them, I mean they've been all about critics not caring right?

I mean, if they actually do it well and they don't just shoehorn it onto the album then fair enough. Otherwise it'd be hard not to feel at least a tiny bit cynical about it, for me at least.

Heeeyall no. LP and dubstep are two things I will never see mix, and if I do, I won't listen to it. I was worried about ATS when we heard samples and such but it came out badass, but I don't think even the great Linkin Park can make dubstep work. If you didn't notice, I'm not a fan, lol.

You probably hate it because you've only heard Rusko, Bar9, Mt. Eden bullshit. Linkin Park could definitely do with some of this:

    Best electronic music out imo.

Exactly the way I feel about it too. I feel like if LP did dubstep people would criticize the hell out of it. And to be fair, it would be a bit cliche.

They'd seem like the really mainstream band that does a certain style of genre after it's been done before a lot, but a lot of casual fans would think it was big and new because they had never heard it before. Which would piss a lot of people off.
