I'm glad that the wait to hear the first taste of the new album/sound is almost upon us. The weeks ahead are when the fun really starts, and that's my favorite part of every new album cycle. Checking the various fansites daily, knowing that some new bits of information about the album could drop any day.
LPU16 is coming out late this week/early next week. Someone in the band writes lyrics like Chester. That's pretty much it, nothing new.
I noticed that in the 25th minute Brad uses the sentence "Because this record was written as songs (...)" .. "Was written", so it's pretty much done eh? Just hope the teasing starts soon. (Yeah I am kinda watching but not paying much attention)
I still don't know what to make of this album, or exactly what kind of music it will consist of, even with hints from those short clips featuring other artists. I guess it's a good thing that there is still this much mystery surrounding LP7 for building up hype, though it makes me really wonder what the band could be hiding. I don't think LP has ever been this vague before about an upcoming album, its overall direction, and how it will sound. Also, is it unprecedented to feature demos from an upcoming/yet-to-be released studio album on an LPU CD? I do not remember this ever happening before. Usually, the demos are from years before the current album released. Some songs, as we know, were virtually finished but just didn't make the final cut for any album, so they were randomly released over the years instead.
i just hope we get something by next month at max. the wait is huge with this , and i feel this album gonna be exactly what i need. been through shit past year and i dont know how to say it. i feel this album ..is jsut gonna get me. also what Chester said about when he played new songs for his friend and he said that he cry and laugh at the same time. THIS.
Thanks! I'm glad to see they have taken their time this time around. While I still enjoy songs from LT and THP, I felt the album as a whole was a little bit of a regression from MTM and ATS. It seems by the album is completely finished and ready to release, the time spent working on it will be closer to that of MTM and ATS. That makes me very excited.
It would be funny if the new album was 100% instrumental with no vocals and all the talk of focusing on vocals was one giant troll...that would be dope.
i would be really surprised if we won't hear something new by the end of this year (not lpu related). and i don't mean the full single , maybe just a sneak peek with new music but that would come officially from lp.
Yup, after all that has happened over the past couple of weeks (Ahem ahem) I think mike & co shud consider giving us depressed ppl a nice and early Xmas present.
I would hate that Instrumental albums can be good if you know what you are doing, but more often than not I wouldn't enjoy it
Great video! This has actually gotten me excited for an LP album again My expectations for vocals and lyrics has been set high now though, so they better not disappoint!
I am honestly just really glad that we even got this video. It really reminds me why I love LP so much. They go the extra mile for their fans when they really don't need to. As for the next album, I don't know what to expect. I was surprised that Mike didn't talk much throughout the whole thing, considering he's known to spearhead the artistic direction for each album. In spite of this, he still seemed really cocky, like LP is about to drop the most fire album of 2017 haha. He's definitely proud of what they'be made. I don't get what Chester meant when he said "what if this was our first album?" Does anyone know what he was trying to imply with that statement because I can't make sense of it. The only guess I have is that maybe he's saying if this was their first album then they'd have a clean slate and wouldn't be cursed by the nu-metal title and therefore would get respect from critics? I really have no clue haha.
Am I the only one has this feeling that the new album will be psychedelic, upbeat and U2-sonically sounding?
