Linkin Park stopped by the Warner Bros. Records building for what appears to have been a small promotional event for their upcoming studio album "One More Light". Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson performed new songs live for the audience, delivering stripped-down arrangements of "Talking To Myself" and title track "One More Light", along with the current single "Heavy", this time without guest vocalist Kiiara. Aside from "Heavy", these are live debuts - the very first previews of new songs from the new full-length due out on May 19. Brief videos from this performance have been posted online: "Talking To Myself" "One More Light" Mike Shinoda previously teased smaller-scale live performances in recent radio show interviews, and it would appear that these types of appearances are what he was referring to. We might be looking forward to more events like this as the release of "One More Light" approaches. All six Linkin Park members also had band photos taken in front of the building, which was thoroughly decorated inside and out with "One More Light" promotional materials. Guitars, piano parts, Chester's vox on both of the tracks are just great. And, though Talking to Myself here is a stripped down version, I already hear those drums and bass lines. TTM reminded me of Florence and the Machine for a second, which is cool.
I am tryng to avoid "spoilers" and teasers this time around. But I did watch the Talking to Myself video and it sounded pretty good. Very not Linkin Park-ish. Really liked the guitar riff.
ONE MORE LIGHT. It sounds like nothing LP has done before. fucking beautiful. Talking to Myself: I don't know how to feel about it? it sounds like an STP song or something, but that groovy riff from Brad definitely growing on me. I can't wait to hear the album.
Daaamn I'm getting a bit of a Little Things Give You Away vibe from One More Light! Very hyped for the album now.
This was way better than what I expected. And I have a feeling I'm going to be bawling over "One More Light". My goodness, that was freaking beautiful.
Very very good!!! I LOVE the melody of OML and that high note at the end of the clip from Chester delivers goosebumps already.. From TTM I need a bit more.. sounds cool here and there already though.
Already got the chils from that small snippet of OML. Can't wait to hear te full song The guitar in TTM really reminds me of Incubus and not in a bad way....
I think it's probably a good sign that the songs (or these little snippets of them) don't sound too bad with such minimal instrumentation. I'love that there seems to be no shortage of vocal harmonies
Now THAT'S what i'm talking about. More of this please! These small clips (although alternately arranged) sound WAAAAY better than Heavy. Good lyrics, super catchy, (and especially with OML) lots of heart. Now, I am a little excited for this album. Talking To Myself sounds very promising. I can already imagine that funky bass line.
Didn't want to spoil OML specifically, but listened to the clip of "Talking to Myself". I'm thinking this will be the most "non-LP like" LP album. Which of course will upset a lot of people, but that makes me a lot more excited for this album than I was for THP. Also, I would LOVE a Mike only piano rendition of "Heavy", but that barely audible 1st teaser will probably be all we'll get from that.
http://www.lpassociation.com/forum/...ght-in-interviews-media-roundup-recaps.42835/ So they've played One More Light before in front of people, so this would not be the live debut of that song.
I understood that to mean they put the song on, listening party-style, as opposed to a live performance
