Update - April 7th: Video artist and director Rafatoon who worked on Battle Symphony has posted an Instagram story of work being done on a Good Goodbye lyric video. "So say goodbye" are lyrics seen in the rendering process. In a recent interview discussing the track Good Goodbye from Linkin Park's new album One More Light, Chester revealed to BeBox Music that a music video for the song has been filmed in LA over a day and Stormzy who is featured on the track flew out to be a part of it. Pusha T also is on the track. Watch the interview clip below where they also say Mike has one verse on the track and Stormzy recorded the second verse which Mike was originally going to do. When we spoke with Mike in London last week he said Good Goodbye is an outlier track that doesn't fit in with the rest of the album. He described the song as 'sarcastic' in tone. It's worth noting that last week in a Facebook live stream Mike said they are currently working on a video that is "not super serious" and is a "change of pace". This is looking like it refers to the Good Goodbye music video. There's no announcement that this is the official next single after Heavy but it looks incredibly likely with a music video being filmed for it. Sounds like a breath of fresh air, lookin' forward to it. Maybe this song and video will improve people's perceptions on the upcoming album. Maybe not.
Hope this song is some dope ass hiphop/rap that'll knock that lame uzi vert, lil yachty, 21 savage, migos, Kodak black bad and bouje kinda shit off the radio. That has to be the worst trash I've ever heard.
Yeah, please don't use "retarded" as some kind of derogatory insult. It's clearly explained in our rules and there are better ways to put your thoughts across. Thanks.
Looking forward to this! I love Pusha T and Stormzy is super promising. Plus I hope this gets LP noticed in urban radio Avoid the r word dude, that's infraction-worthy
I'm looking forward to this video. Looks like it will be the next official single, which is kinda weird putting two back to back features as singles but I guess it makes sense with how different these tracks are. I feel like people who buy One More Light based on Good Goodbye might be slightly disappointed if what Mike said about it being different from the rest is true.
Yeah! bring on some dope Hip Hop shit Edit: So the singles with music videos are the only songs with collaboration on OML.
Shit, I knew it'd be one verse. Dope it's gonna be the second single. I hope Mike wrote a good verse. I'm sure since he's got two dope as rappers, he'll write something decent. Does Pusha have a verse? It seems like it was implied that he didn't. I guess Pusha does the hook?
From what we know so far, it seems like Mike only has one rap verse on the entire album? Or does he rap on something else? That in conjunction with the absence of any screaming makes this album a pretty radical change for them. I know some of us here have been clamoring for fewer rap verses from Mike, but that's still surprising. Unless he changed from what he was doing on "Recharged" and THP, then I'm kind of glad. I guess we can expect this song fairly soon, the 16th again?
I think there's rap on Talking to Myself. Around 31 seconds in when the video transitions clips you can hear like a second of Mike. Sounds like the end of a rap to me.
Mike isn't even moving his mouth in that clip, lol. It's been confirmed by him the only rap song is Good Goodbye.
