My impressions from this clip are a resounding "meh". However, I basically thought the same when I heard the raw preview for Guilty All The Same which turned out to be utterly fantastic.

Because they don't need to. They've been recording live drums for close to 20 years now; why change what works?

If you wanna rock like it's 1999, go listen to albums from 1999.

It's fucking 2017. If you want a band to do the same old shit 18 years into their career, go listen to Limp Bizkit.

You can have your own taste in music. There's nothing wrong with that. But expecting MUSICIANS to stay stagnant and do the same old routine for nearly 2 decades is as dumb as my username.

Song's called "heavy." It's extremely chill and kinda poppy. :shinado:

Lol y'all are so triggered. Jeezus I just said what I would prefer. And I still listen to Hybrid Theory and Meteora. While I would love some old throwback stuff, they've moved on. And they still sound good, don't get me wrong. I'm just reminiscing is all.

It reminds me of Castle Of Glass and somehow of Final Masquerade. The sound is LT-esque but I'm ok with that: I always tought that they kind of wasted the potential of a synth-pop album, with that crappy mixing and overproduction. Plus, live drums make everything better. I like the clip.

Is this song even 'Heavy'? It would make sense for it to be but I can't even tell anymore.

Remember when they released snippets of Given Up from MTM and everything thought that is sounded heavier than anything else LP had done, then the album came out and did not go in that single direction?

    Chill out fam

Gotta say MTM's got a lot of different styles inside, and it's probably their only album to be like that. It's not impossibile, for sure.

I'm pretty sure Mike named the song "Heavy" for the sole purpose of messing with old LP fans.

Pretty sure he doesn't give a shit and it matches the content of the lyrics. I like that sound :D

Nah, I'm sure that it's based off of lyrical content instead of if the song is considered "heavy" or not.

Chester goes Dream Pop i like it. i hope there's no more whiny over the top choruses like they regularly do. but, must wait for the full shit to really judge.

This might be the album I out grow LP on :(

I've been aboard every hype train leading up to release since MTM but nothing about the recent news is exciting me. I hope they prove me wrong!

I'm pretty sure he said "Got my mind right now." Which, in all honesty, would fit into the theme of a song based on letting things go.
