    They have officially tied:

"Scar Tissue" — Red Hot Chili Peppers (1999)
    "It's Been Awhile" — Staind (2001)
"Boulevard of Broken Dreams" — Green Day (2004-05)

For sixteen weeks at #1 on the Modern Rock Chart.

As of now, Linkin Park will maintain the spot for next week to break the record.

    awesome news!!!

They're wrong, or they have a time machine that sees into the future.
Edit: This isn 't even on LinkinPark.com! What official site are you talking about?

    Weeks On: 15.

This should have been posted in the other thread. And it's also inaccurate.

Plus, you should probably title your threads correctly. Breaking a record and tying a record are two completely different things.
