I think OML is the 'calm after the storm' after the hard-hitting heavy album, THP.
IMO Its actually good to preserve Chester's voice.
Your opinion is wrong.
Not sure what you're smoking but LP doesn't record anything at 96kHz/24bit. Tidal is known for upsampling their music from CD resolution audio and at best LP is providing 48kHz/24bit masters (if that). You played yourself.
The Hunting Party (HDTracks) is 24/96..
Yeah don't waste your money on tidal. It really isn't worth the money at all. Especially when sites like HDTracks have been around for ages and already have extremely high quality versions of the songs.
If LP kicked off their own exclusive streaming service, would you subscribe?
And even then that's just as good as ripping FLAC's from a CD.
No. I'd call that a waste too.
I'd call that SELLOUT
Welcome (FM) would definitely fit in OML. Imagine if Welcome is the first track of OML. The vibe of the song really fits, IMO.
That is such a good song, just heard it. Better than both Heavy and Battle Symphony imo.
Better in what way? They are totally different. And also may be we should stop calling a song "better" than other one just because you like it more.
And no, I love FM. And I love Welcome, I love it more than Heavy which I love too,may be not more than Battle Symphony. However I can't call anyone "better" than another one just because of my taste.
The song is out now on Australian iTunes with a midnight rollout in other countries.

That's why I said "imo" which means: in my opinion
With adjusted lyrics, for sure
It's way more overproduced than Army of One TBH, at least Coldplay stuck with real drums.
I'm just listening to Hybrid Theory right now to forget about this
Listen to this too. The chorus fits your butthurt perfectly.
I've enjoyed all of LP's albums, but I'm getting less excited for this one. I don't care what style music they do as long as the songs are good. The singles so far have just been "meh". So far this is looking like their worst album and a big step backwards.
