I think i got what i wanted to tell. Heavy and Battle Symphony don't feel like a band song. They feel like a individual artist song. I know there are instrumental happening, but yet it all seems poorly-fabricated by any producer just to fit with the vocal (and that's exactly how LP did it... vocal first, then matching sounds). I don't understand much about music production. Some of you said both songs are very hard to mix and produce. But they just don't feel like it. They feel like stockphoto of music, something you just download on a free-sound website. And all that makes it seems Heavy and Battle Symphony are songs from Chester Bennington, like if he was a sole-singer like Katy Perry, Justin Bieber (...) What i was expecting was music with much more the feeling that it was made by a band with 6 members. I do know too that some LP songs are made basically only by Mike, but the sounding makes they seem like a band song.
Even though I like both songs I agree with both of that it doesn't feel like a band song. Maroon 5 is definitely another band that dips in and out of feeling like a band versus an Adam Levine solo project. Bands like Linkin Park and Maroon 5 don't really care though. They collab in the studio and care less if it sounds like guys in a room playing instruments. It's very evident in interviews and BTS with both bands
Just listened to the song. I didn't like the Heavy song at first, but this new song is very good. Good job LP, as a nu metal fan, I'll definitely listen to that song while driving to work
not just these two singles man,it's obvious that this is the core sound of the whole album, that's why i'm not expecting much
No screams from Chester, no likes from me! Where are the guitars? Where are the turntables? Did Rob and Brad leave the band and get replaced by Fruity Loop? Mike should dye his hair red and go back to aggressive rapping. What's with these happy lyrics? Makes me want to puke. Chester sounds ok on the bridge with his nu metal voice but the instruments are stolen from Nsync. Waiting for zwieR.Z. remix definitely. RIP Linkin Park 2000-2003.
yeah, they said so in some interviews iirc. Honestly i am happy about this, Chester dont need more songs to ruin his voice.
I don't mind if the band would go chill, mellow record. I'm sick of listening songs with unnecessary screams from Chaz. if it's true that there's no screaming on this record then and I'm glad they have the courage to do that and that's a very risky move for a band like LP.
Oh sorry, I've misspoken. The success of the album rests on what you expect the album to sound like. If you don't like it, its gonna flop. How could I have been so stupid?
Go listen to Xero again. Also judging by your user name and profile pic ATS is your favorite Linkin park album?
seriously, how can people want songs like those from HT and MT every single time??? I for one am very happen that i can put the songs from all their albums on shuffle and not be bored cause by the fifth song i'd have heard the same track style/genre 5 times
I've seen that comparison twice now, and tbh, I don't really see it. Maybe the sound could fit on Wild World but for me personally, I can't see that comparison. And that's coming from someone who really enjoys their music.
