Very exciting times for the community! I’ll be there tomorrow, and would be cool to meet some of you in person!
I didn't sleep a few hours after waking up tonight out of excitement! I wonder how the guys and possibly a new singer will be feeling now! They're seasoned pro's but it's been a while
While "TEM" is not confirmed to be legit, this is also a friendly reminder not to post any leaks. If there is official news of a new lead singer that comes out before the livestream, or a new single leaks early - DO NOT post it here folks.
Derek I have deleted my post to not spoil to much. Living in Germany. The livestream will start at midnight here. I am assuming a long long night.
I'm trying to figure out how to sneak a listen in at work and it's just not seemingly plausible. Also considering we're an official sponsor of the NFL, it's going to be busy as fuck tonight... And probably every night until February.
Even official NFL sponsors eat to much burrito's pre work sometimes right? It would be a shame if other people would have to suffer because of your choices in life... All joking aside I sure hope you can make it work!!
One of the most important days in the history of the band. I always kept a place for the band in my heart, but to be honest, I didn't expect that their potential comeback would refuel the passion from back them so much. But here I am, feeling like I am 15 again. This is so great, honestly.
Well there's definitely a snippet floating around that matches the rumored name, and I suppose it does sound something like what a new-Linkin Park would sound like. Intriguing. 7 more hours!
I wouldn't believe it until we actually hear what the band puts out. Could be legit, but there's a very long history of fake Linkin Park songs being created and passed off as real.
Ohai everyone! Exiting times, aren't they? Until today the hype didn't really catch me. But now I'm all in! Here's me joining the highly speculative Twenty One Pilots / Tyler Joseph theory. Some evidence speaking for it: - Chester was a huge fan of TOP in his late days - TOP mentioned LP as inspiration, if I remember correctly - both being highly experimental/alternative bands. While TOP often has songs sounding more "gritty" and disharmonious, often releasing some harmonic melodies in the chorus or bridge, LP's trait for me always were the very emotionally satisfying melodies. I think a combination of both could work well. - LP, having been re-imagining their sound constantly in the past, would be very open to infuse some TOP-like vibes in their new sound. An LPxTOP incorporating just enough of TOPs trademark style could satisfy their fanbase. LP's fanbase on the other hand generally should be very open to new musical directions. - weren't there rumors of Rob not partaking in the band anymore? Well... TOP happens to be a drummer and a vocalist - as for TOP, their year-long story arch, spanning multiple albums, just happened to find an end with the last release. If a merge even is a possibility, now would be a great time. There has even been speculation, that there won't be any new TOP releases from now on. But what if this is not the end, but just the start of a whole new era? So there's that. - the video having the TØP-Trademark symbol "ø" as a title! - merging two bands to create something entirely new (LPxTOP) would make the feeling of "replacing Chester by a new singer" mostly go away, I would imagine. This would feel like something completely new and exiting. Not just LP with a new singer. But a whole new band, continuing a legacy (or rather, two legacys) - the rumour of LP casting a female singer could have just been a false flag / honey pot in order to disguise the true plan. Or, the band could have been changing their course since then. - the new LP logo partly revealed on the site looks a bit, like it consists of multiple materials, as if they are smelting two bands to a whole new one. - it would kinda be Hybrid Theory 2.0. Back then, they were merging genres to create something new and exciting. Now, they are merging sounds of bands! It would be in line with their initial vision, while at the same time being a new spin. - more? (You name it!) On the other hand... - Mike and Tyler are both not just vocalist, but creative producers and song writers. So they both might have just too much of a driving force in their head to really harmonize well together - in the past TOP have denied the question if they would collab with LP one day, if I remember correctly. But these are statements from the distant past. They plausibly could've changed their mind. - while Tyler is a versatile vocalist and even a rapper, he probably couldn't pull of any of the more intense screaming parts of Chester - while there may be plenty of LP fans in their fan base, many TOP fans might feel mistreated if they just like this close the chapter of "TOP". The whole thing could be a financial disaster for the label and band. Much is at stake. On the other hand, TOP probably are rich as fu** and the label would like them still doing music more than them outright quiting (so they probably won't force TOP to continue as is, if their new creative vision is a new era together with LP - the two labels don't coming to agreements - I don't know if there has been any comments from TOP regarding such speculation. But if there hasn't been, it would be good sign. If they would be teasing anything, it would have been to obvious Well, what do you guys think? Personally, this thought hypes me up way more than the idea of them just getting a "random" female singer in place of Chester. Another possibility would be an cooperative album release + tour.
If current leaks end up being confirmed, you just wrote a really, REALLY long post about being wrong.
There was an AI track created based on the rumored name as a prank. Unsure if that's what you heard, but I wouldn't trust anything.
