Linkin Park has announced a new digital expanded edition of the new studio album From Zero that can be pre-ordered now, just barely ahead of the November 15 release date. Although it doesn't appear to be listed on the band's official website just yet, this is the latest of many album variants available for fans to order. This edition of From Zero is priced at a mere $4.99 USD, and will contain three bonus tracks, all official live recordings from the band's 2024 headline shows: "The Emptiness Machine", live from the launch show in Los Angeles on Sept. 5, "Heavy Is the Crown", live at The O2 in London on Sept. 24, and "Over Each Other", live at Paris La Défense Arena in Paris on November 3. In addition to these tracks, this edition of will also include a 46-page digital booklet featuring imagery and handwritten lyrics. You can pre-order the digital expanded edition via this link, which should take you to the appropriate digital outlet for your location. The deadline for purchases is Thursday, November 21 at 11:59 PM PT. It can be assumed that pre-orders will be fulfilled as the album comes out on November 15. We have heard reports of some fans being able to download this version album immediately after purchase, likely due to some sort of error. If this applies to you, please note that Linkin Park Association does not condone sharing copyrighted material. Source: Linkin Park on Twitter
Look, we're going to have to hope for another album variant where all the bonus tracks are just recordings of "My December".
Kinda bummed we're not getting a bonus track, I was almost certain of it when I first read this especially given how they said there's so many more songs they want to put out. The album's also barely 30 mins so a bonus track would've been awesome, and everyone seems to be doing it these days so why not them!?
This very well could be the 1st of many "expanded digital editions," if other big artists these days are anything to go by. EP / LPU release
I yearn for the return to LPU-exclusive CDs. I will absolutely lose it if we get a Xero CD to tie it all in.
To be fair, those deluxe editions usually come out after the release, to help sustain the post-release hype.
