Wish I’d of had the extra $200 cause I’m REALLY wanting this bundle! But instead I’m just doing the digital download bundle through my Apple Music subscription! Still excited as hell though. Just wish the DVDs and poster would’ve been listed as a separate bundle

A german webshop has listed the HT EP Vinyl as being single sided with an etching on side B. So either the hidden track along with the static is capped or just the static in between.

Oh. Given that I've seen what they've done before with the etching - case being THP-, we're really in for a treat.

This box is going to be superb quality.

IMO an etching of the old Hybrid Theory logo they had would be pretty cool for me.

Mike has posted an unboxing of the Super Deluxe Set. The first thing I'm doing is going through the book, then I'll watch the DVDs. This will feel like Christmas as a kid for me.

I love Mike in this. He looks so genuinely happy to be reliving the early days of Linkin Park and talking about all the things that went into that time. Also his satisfaction about Pictureboard and the title for the Projekt Revolution 2002 documentary

Must be bitter sweet for Mike as I doubt he expected LP to come to such an abrupt end 3 years ago

So, although I did the digital download edition through my Apple Music subscription, I’m buying a couple different things to commemorate #HT20 as my Christmas presents: those include these 2 AWESOME goodies (I’m going with the deluxe 2CD and Hoodie because I doubt I’ll have $200 for the deluxe box set.)

To be clear though, Linkin Park has not ended. The band said they weren't deciding what the future was for LP yet and they still have not made that decision.

Although Dave said they started working on new music before COVID hit. What that meant or was should still be intriguing to us all as fans

That doesn't mean anything. "The bans as we knew it" was over when they stopped doing nu-metal on MTM. Then again when they went heavy electronic on ATS. And so on and so forth.

The lesson LP learned in recording Minutes to Midnight is that "Linkin Park" isn't defined by a sound, it's defined by the collective. No Roads Left isn't magically "not Linkin Park" because Chester isn't on it. LIVING THINGS isn't suddenly by a different band because Mike wrote and performed all the guitar parts instead of Brad. Or Daron Malakian on Rebellion. Or Jon Green on Nobody Can Save Me, etc. The band as we knew it has ALWAYS been over because they've always been about change.

It's probably more about the fact that a vital member and component of LP's sound is no longer there. A lot of us resent that many people come to LP for Chester but that's what it is (the same way a lot of us resent that LP is largely defined by their rock sound).

We do have to accept the band now with the 5 remaining members. Otherwise people should just not listen to their future music if they don't like it without Chester. We have enough contrarianism here for me to stand.

It's been 3 years. We all wish Chester was still here but Mike and the band seem to be ready to start a new chapter and we should be too. Mourning eternally over Chester and acting like Linkin Park cannot go on without him will do more harm than it does good to anyone. Yes, the band will not be the same without Chester. His voice was a prominent feature in their music. But if they want to start a new direction then we should support them like we have for the past 20 years.

I also think we should discuss these kinds of things instead of making sarcastic remarks and trying to make people feel alienated for different perspectives or opinions that we might not like. And/or piling likes onto these kinds of posts.
