    The fathers of metal?

Make a Black Sabbath thread if you're going to do that.

Anyway, "Stairway to Heaven" is the only song by them I like.

I could get into a Fathers Of Metal debate about Black Sabbath but I won't.

The Zep is good. Whole Lotta Love, Stairway To Heaven, Black Dog, Dazed & Confused, Kashmir, and my personal favorite: No Quarter.

You should check out Tool's cover of No Quarter. It kicks insane amounts of ass.

I enjoy listening to both Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath.

Although he said Led Zeppelin are the Father of Metal, I am sure he just does not know the whole history of Rock. Dark Knight, if you haven't listened to Black Sabbath you should really give them a listen.

if you want to get technical about it, Iron Butterfly were the grandfathers of Heavy Metal.

Sabbath was the Fathers Of Heavy Metal.

Led Zeppelin is one of my favorite Classic Rock bands. My favorite song by them is Kashmir, and I really like Black Dog, too. I love Robert Plant's voice!

I grew up listening to classic rock stations, so I've heard my fair share of Led Zepplin and some of the other good bands out of that period of rock music and I'd have to say, you can beat that. I mean, no matter how awesome today's bands are, like Linkin Park, nothing can hold a candle up to those days of musical fusion. NOTHING.

I can't stand classic rock/classic metal/hair bands/glamour metal/ and just about anything else that came out before I was born.

Led Zeppelin was the greatest rock band in the world. They have the more musicianship than all of the modern day nu-metal bands combined. They probably would have lasted forever if their drummer (the greatest drummer in the world) John Bonham didn't die. My favorite Zeppelin songs are "Immigrant Song", "Dazed and Confused", "What Is And What Should Never Be", and "Dancing Days".

Both bands are good. I don't like Led as much as I would like. It's just their lead singer is annoying.
Led Zep = Father's of metal, much of the good metal
Black Sabbath = Father's of heavy metal and nu-metal
