Ozzy Osbourne has announced that this year’s Ozzfest will be his last as a headliner. “The Ozzfest name and reputation has been established,” sasy the Doube O in a statement. “It’s time for me to move on and do other things.” The news comes in as Black Sabbath’s headline stint on the current Ozzfest tour has been plagued with problems.

Osbourne has been struggling with throat problems and hayfever, which has made performing difficult and has led to the cancellation of a handful of appearances. “Ozzfest will carry on in 2006,” says the statement. “ However, Ozzy will limit his performances to only a few, selected cities.”

Originally launched in 1996, Ozzfest is now one of the biggest travelling music festivals in the United States. Black Sabbath will headline the final stop on this year’s tour on September 10 at the Float-Rite Ampitheatre in Somerset, Wisconsin.
