CREDIT: Blabbermouth.net It's hard to find your own style of music if you're in a band, since virtually every style is taken and even if you come up with something original, chances are another band is doing it. Oh, and Paul McCoy sounds nothing like Mike.
I'm kind of glad Amy Lee didn't get her way with that song because she really didn't want Paul McCoy on that song. The original bridge sounds so empty without him.
I'm starting to imagine his voice in place of the 12 Stones dude (Paul McCoy .. if that's his name, I can't remember, lol).
If Mike spent a year or two in a dark alleyway smoking tarmac with MCA and Zack De La Rocha, maybe he'd sound like Paul Mcoy then?
The funniest part of the article that i found, was that Davis thinks that Evanescence stole LP's style. I don't even think you can compare LP and Evanescence as being the same styles of music. On the other hand it would have been interesting to see Mike Shinoda do Paul McCoy's part on Bring Me To Life. Whoever said that Amy didn't want Paul to do this part, is this why Paul didn't sing his aprt of the song when the two bands were on tour together a while back?
Paul chose not to sing his part when they went on tour. I forgot what his reasoning was though. [/b][/quote] Because that's probably the highest his career will get? IMO, he'll be known as 'that guy in the Bring Me To Life song'.
yeah, I think the reasoning was that it was taking away from 12 Stones and putting too much spotlight on him as the "BMTL guy".
Whats funny is even though that song got insanely popular, people still dont know who he or 12 Stones are lol
