I was just wondering, what are the key signatures for all the songs on Minutes To Midnight?

    Wake = G major
    Given Up = E minor
Leave Out All the Rest = A minor
Bleed it Out = F# minor
Shadow of the Day = B major
    What I've Done = G minor
Hands Held High = A major
No More Sorrow = Eb minor
    Valentine's Day = D minor
    In Pieces = F minor
The Little Things Give You Away = First half is A minor, second half is D major
No Roads Left = A minor

I can't remember off the top of my head what key In Between is in.

Yeah. I understand tunings and some chords, but that's about as far as that goes. I couldn't tell you what key anything is in if I wanted to.

I can't understand chords too well (I'm learning!) but I can identify key signatures. :) It's one of the first things I became good at when I started playing keyboard, since I learn and play almost entirely by ear.

    +1 lol

I THINK i know what they are. What note(s) the song is written in? Or start in? I see that No more sorrow is in Eb minor, the same as Place for my head & forgetten? If I'm right I understand it. if not... lol

Then there's TIME signitures... Don't get me started on that. I dont have a clue how you figure out time sigs on songs. Even tempos are tricky to figure out lol

The key signature of the song is what key the song is written in. For example, Wake is in G Major. The G Major scale consists of G, A, B, C, D, E, and F#.

Time signatures are how many beats are in a measure, and what consists of a beat. So a 4/4 time signature, which is a common signature, means there are 4 beats to a measure and the beat consists of quarter notes. Thus, 4 quarter notes = 1 measure of music.

Take From The Inside for instance. That song is written in 6/8 I believe. You can hear it in the beginning sample loop. Count how many notes you hear before the sample repeats. 6 beats to a measure. The guitar plays like a 4/4 time signature though.
