Linkin Park are back in this week's Kerrang! Magazine discussing their new album One More Light in some great detail. The 7 page interview features some great photos of the band along with an in-depth interview with Mike and Chester. You can see the interview below. New album info: Invisible: Chester himself wanted to concentrate on being a father, which informed the track 'Invisible'. Talking to Myself: New track Talking to Myself which features a chiming guitar line and groovy bass reminiscent of The Killers. Chester: "It's about relating to how my wife must have felt when I was battling my demons" "seeing it going down and not being able to do something must have sucked".
Well we learned a couple new details at least: Invisible: Chester himself wanted to concentrate on being a father, which informed the track 'Invisible'. Talking to Myself: New track Talking to Myself which features a chiming guitar line and groovy bass reminiscent of The Killers. Chester: "It's about relating to how my wife must have felt when I was battling my demons" "seeing it going down and not being able to do something must have sucked".
Great interview. As much as I am surprised that after they so publicly lamented the state of rock, that they chose to go in totally the opposite direction for the next album, I'd rather them make the album they want to make, and are passionate about.
Since when was Linkin Park METAL? Talking to Myself "features a chiming guitar line and groovy bass" I thought the whole album is TRAP.
I can't wait to hear the song One More Light. I love sad ballady type LP songs. Also Sharp Edges and Battle Symphony are the 2 songs I am really curious about.
Before long, we'll be ready to start a song description thread! Or is Joe Hahn supposed to look cool with that hat?
Maybe nobody's supposed to look cool with the hat. Maybe they just like the hats. For a band never wanting to be labeled under one musical genre, I highly doubt they dress to fit any label or mold either. I've always liked the way they dress. Especially from Minutes to Midnight and onward.
Maybe ... way they keep switching who wears the hats in photographs is indicative of how, artistically, the band is always changing things around.
